NOTE: When melting the shrink tubing over the copper knots, if the swivel gets pretty hot I would recommend retying that mono knot really quickly by cutting off a few inches. If mono get heated up it can lose a decent amount of strength.

Another use of shrink tubing is for making peanut flies. After pulling banded mylar through hook eye, slip piece of cut shrink tubing over the eye and heat it with soldering iron. You can make flies about 4 times faster than with thread. I like to coat the shrink tube with Sally Hansens Hard as Nails red nail polish after it has cooled for extra durability. Better heat control with soldering iron might help prevent mono damage for haywire twist knot shrink tubing too.

WHY COPPER VS STRANDED OR SS WIRE OR LEADED LINE?

Copper dives on a 5 to 1 dive ratio vs a 6 to 1 like leadcore and weighted steel. This means that you have to put less line out to achieve the same depths, so less reeling. The bloodrun copper is also very durable, doesnt kink easy, and is overall very easy to use! I have always used copper and never seen a reason to use leadcore or other weighted lines
