I have the Jumper T-16 Version 2 which does have the internal RF so I did have to turn that ON for the transmitter to communicate to my Sport Cub S.

This is for the old T16 without the internal RF board! You must select the internal board with the latest T16.

Hey Guys, Clean1 again. I figured out my Umx Timber binding to the Jumper T16Pro problem. This doesn't align with your instructions for the Sport Cub S, because when I followed your video @4:30 min in, you shut off internal, and went with external module. That did not work for my Timber. Only after I went back and tried the internal module, did the Timber come to life! Thanks for everything else though, it got me going in the right direction. It was a 50/50 chance, so it was worth doing, Whoo hoo! FLAPS, here we come! I will also have my Sport Cub S back together this week also, and will bind it to the jumper T16.

Looks like Jumper is a winner with the T-16 Pro. My objection is the Open TX OS. I have a QX7, and it too is a very nice radio. It also runs Open TX. Yes, it's possible to do almost anything with this OS but not quickly. And it's certainly not easy to do at the field. After one season I bailed and went back to my trusty DX8.

I agree I would like to see a switch set up for safe select an aS3X I have yet to see if this is possible with safe select which is what I am most curious about because I have a JP 4in1 for my taranis x9d and A jumper T8sg plus V2 and I’m looking into getting the t16 Also i will probably be purchasing A P51D mustang 1,2m june night bnf if this is possible but since I am a quad pilot and I am just getting in the fixed wing and I only have flown FPV wings With FR sky receivers I want to make sure that I can bind up a Horizon Hobby bind and fly with safe select On a switch so I can turn it on and off when learning

It must be possible, but I can't do it on both a 636a&b. But my t16 jumper automatically bound when I assigned it to channel 5 for my UMX Timber. The other ones I can bind in safe, or not, but not safe with a switch. In a way, it's ok,it's making me a better pilot. It's just the lessons are more expensive:-)

At 4:34 after you have turned off internal module, your External RF Module Status is V1.2.1.25. Mine says “No MULTI_TELEMETRY detected” and model (Turbo Timber) will not connect. What happened? How can I fix it?

Just picked up a jumper t16 pro v2. I went through the process with the setting it up as outlined; however, as stated by another person, the internal needs to be set the way you noted on the external for new radios. Also...something with the software has changed because setting up this plane as noted in the video mixes up the throttle and elevator. I can't figure out how to take the prop off of this so someone else has to hold it safely, but the AETR on mine (5/2020) is ATER. Update: If people are having any of the same problems I was having, the answer for me was in a few areas. 1 - On Jumper t16 pro v2 - it has the internal, so as stated by other comments below, turn on internal and make sure external is off, otherwise it won't bind (the opposite of what's in the video). In terms of the other problems, they were all caused because I tried to update the jumper to the most updated version before I tried setting up the plane. The new version included changes to the channel mapping rather than the setup shown on this video, that's why the elevator and throttle was switched when I completed the binding. I had saved a copy of the original default firmware that came with my jumper (dated 1/2020) and so I deleted the updated version and copied the original back. I then reprogrammed the model based on the video, also using the internal and everything then matched Grayson's instructions. If you ever update the firmware, the channel mapping will change and AETR will be incorrect and watch out for the prop. Thanks guys! Great, helpful content!

Several fallacies in this posted comment! OpenTX/EdgeTX Multi Protocol Radios normally are shipped with AETR stock set-up AND have the internal smarts to spit out the correct channel order and scaling for ANY protocol that needs it. (Spektrum has to come out of the receiver as TAER and 80% scaling!) For bogged-in-the-mire Spekky addicts the folks developing the Multi Module Firmware have even been so kind as to allow a choice of Firmware in AETR or RETA or TAER format. (You also have to set your radio setting "Expected Channel Order" to suit after loading the new firmware choice!) Trouble is most "Experts" don't bother to read all the documentation on the excellently maintained download site and just scream "It doesn't WORK!" when they shoot themselves in the foot! I've often mused that, instead of the stock greeting at turn-on, ("Welcome to OpenTX or EdgeTX") it should say "Have you read the instructions, you idiot!" 🙄😉😊 EDIT! Reading many of the other comments here, I'd say that this poster is hardly on his Paddy Malone!

Please let people know that If you plug servos into a Spektrum Receiver the RX channels are STILL TAER . The radio auto selects the proper channel routing. AETR in the radio converts to TAER on the RX.

How do you guys do safe select on a plane like the night timber??, on this plane you have to hold the sticks in and down then move a switch 5 times to assign it as safe select, I have tried a lot of stuff and nothing works, I think the issue here maybe different frequency on the endpoints between the t16 and the original Spectrum TX, I'm thinking the receiver is not reading a proper endpoints so it is not going in into the programing of the switch for safe. I'm not sure what is going on.

Good job Guys! I happen to have a Sport cub S, which died when I got water inside while flying with floats. But my question is, I also have a UMX timber, which I tried to bind following our video on the Cub S. I've actually only been able to fly the timber its the transmitter from the Sport Cub, so I haven't got to use flaps yet. I got the latest updated JumperT16 like in your video, but can't get the Timber to bind. I've tried both X 22, and X 11ms with no results. Any chance you guys could bind a Timber with flaps? Any ideas what might be wrong. I watched video 5 times, and of;;owed step by step. Thanks for all the informative videos. I've flown my ET115 which I bought from you guys after your video came out on the V3 model. I actually fly it smoother with the JumperT16, than with the Taranis Q7x I had. I didn't think the hall gimbals would make that much difference!. Anyway, great videos on the JumperT16!

Jumper TX 16 for mini quads using Spectrum RX issue fix. Look at the Receiver Tab in beta flight and see if inputs are at min and max (1050min 1900max 1500center). If not, the quad won’t arm. In CLI change “rxrange 0 1000 2000” to what min and max you read in the receiver tab. ie. I changed mine to “rxrange 0 1156 1840”. Do this for the other three “rxrange” in CLI. After, fine tune the end points using “outputs” in the Jumper TX 16 to reach the values needed in the beta flight receiver tab. Reference: OscarLiang “how to adjust transmitter channel end point and mid point”

I was so excited I found this video I have exact plane and Tx but I can’t get it to work it binds then the control surfaces just go crazy and the jumper keeps saying telemetry lost telemetry recovered over and over any idea what’s up. It binds to the Tx it came with but it’s mode 1 and I’m mode 2 😩😩

Is only one correct way to do it reverse, and is like you do it, if you do it with the inputs weight may have the chance the trim still working backwards.

@D town 313 I have the t16 pro with only an internal module for now. First time I attempted it, it bound but did a terrible job with servos and i could not arm the throttle. I deleted the model setup and did it again step by step exactly per this video and it worked. Had to reverse the rudder servo that's about it. i adjusted the telemetry alarms way down because I was tired of hearing it go off.

Hi… Im unable to assign a switch for Safe Select on my openTX Eachine Tx16s after I tried many times in different ways after watching KZbin’s people. I followed the manual of my new Night Radian step by step and the binding process in Safe Select works fine but im not able to assign Safe Select on the 2 click Switch…I didn’t connect the wings yet could be that the issue? I belive because there are not elevators on the wings they don’t need to be in the fuselage to let me assign the Safe Select switch…am i wrong? I set up the Night Radian with only 3 channels: Channel 1 Rudder Channel 2 elevator Channel 3 throttle Channel 4 Aileron……and Channel 5 Safe Select I set them up in Mixes and inputs and only the safe select in mixes. And it is not working. On my Night Radian manual there is the Port Assignment for the AR631 Receiver: Channel 1 Throttle Channel 2 Rudder Channel 3 Elevator…..and BND/PRG = BIND which has no channel pre-assigned. Shall i set up my Radio with same channels assignment as the AR631 ? What i do wrong? Please if you can post one video on how to…it will be really helping me s lot. Thanks 🙏

I originally bought the T16 to use with quads as the multi -protocol allows me to buy a bind and fly regardless of the receiver. Sometimes trying to fit a spectrum on some little quads is quite challenging. I am now using the T16 for airplanes as well but I found with my E-Flite P51D 1.2M BNF that the range was significantly reduced. I am told that Spektrum frequencies may be a little off and that there is something you can do on the T16 to correct it. Do you know what the issue is?

I cannot get my T16 to work the throttle on my Spektrum Rx's however. I can bind to DSMX or DSM2 just fine, but throttles just don't work. Any ideas?

I just bought a T12. The problem with it is that I created and bound 10 different models, and when it is turned off, and left for a while, when I turn it on and try to use, the quads and planes will not auto bind and I have to go through the binding process again. Any ideas?

Greatly helpful video, gents! I'm trying to get this exact setup working: Cub S and T16 on most recent firmware. Channel 5 on three position switch ends up with panic mode where I think experienced would be as well as on channel 6 if I set it up for panic. Since I don't trust SAFE mode, I'd like to have the option to turn it off. I know it's in there somewhere! Thanks!

Followed your tutorial for a T12 and worked out well, thanks. Am I missing something or does one have to re-enter setup every time you power off/on the radio to re-bind to the plane. With the couple of tinywhoops I've played with on that radio it just re-acquires every time I turn on. Can you set a shortcut switch on these radios to bypass the screen for that?

I just got the T16 Pro and a Eflite BNF UMX Waco but I am pulling my hair out trying to get them to work together. I watched and followed ther video at least 15 times but keep getting the same result. You must give each 1 a different receiver number when setting up. Otherwise the radio will only remember the last 1 bound to it. Mark the number assigned to it on each receiver and select that receiver set-up when needed for an instant bind.
