I've watched a lot of videos ever since i got the ZV-1 (about 8 months ago), but i still didn't understand this camera as much. This right here is the best ZV-1 video I've ever watched. I found myself doing a lot of playing, pausing and rewinding 😂with the purpose of aligning my camera settings to yours. At some point i paused this video and went to watch another video on your channel (Sony ZV 1 s-sinetone) and came back to resume this one. I learned so much within a short space of time, and because of you, i value my camera more than i ever did before....You really are making some positive impact...watching from South Africa ✌

I got 3 of these Sony ZV-1 cameras to include in remote interview kits I can send to clients that I’d otherwise do in person (pre-COVID). Even with a pre-setup, I’m concerned about the camera getting out of whack. The Sony menus are supremely confusing with various settings all over the place. Hard to imagine picking up this camera as a neophyte and attempting figuring it out. The custom settings mode may be the best way to get back to the pre-set. This was a really good but tight overview I’ll reference many times.

Thanks for the guide! One remark though: For slow motion, you set the fps to 120 and the shutter speed to 1/250s. Since you are slowing it down in post to 24fps, I would set the shutter speed to the maximum of 1/125s shutter speed for smoother motion blur. That´s because, the double shutter speed should still be 1/50s, because of the used 24fps in post. As of course your maximum shutter speed is not 1/50s at 120fps while shooting, but 1/125s, this is the next best thing.
@thefilmalliance4 жыл бұрын
This is great information. So when Im shooting in 120 change the shutter to 1/125 if Im using a 24 FPS timeline. This is why I love this community. Someone has valuable information and they pass it along rather than keep it to themselves. We appreciate your willingness to share. I look forward to using this method on my next slowmo (If I can remember). Awesome comment! Thank you

This is exactly what I needed to find tonight, thank you both!! Brilliant observation! You are correct. Thank you fro taking the time to comment that! Hugely helpful to the community. The HFR settings if the function menu are only set to HFR FPS setting. Great video thank you! I have a question. I set my C2 button the same as yours. What I don't like is that the display doesn't tell you if you are in Manual or Auto focus.

Hmmm, my display does show it. Maybe look in the menu under display settings?
