@@OilyCadre I'm using a Sandisk ultra (80 mb/s) SDHC... what should I be using? I want to film in 1080 (to cut the rendering time to KZbin 1080 format) and I want to have full MP4 sequence... I now get short .MTS sequence (what the hell are those ahah!) I downloaded the sony app you recommended, will see if it helps..!

Hmm...I swear all the initial reviews I watched of this camera mentioned that the camera turning on when the screen opens is a feature that could be turned off, but I'm not finding it. I see that you can disable the camera turning OFF when the screen closes, but nothing stopping it from turning on. Not a fan of the camera turning on unexpectedly if someone picks it up to check it out, the lens extending into their hand and causing a drop.

First, great vid! I followed the setting but on Audo Rec Level I get an error message of... "This operation or setting not available as follows... Shoot Mode - Program Auto. What would be causing this?

I had the same. Go back to the mode button, move up to the Video option above the Intelligent mode. I did the same thing going down to the P and had to back up to the movie mode above to get the audio levels to be something I could change.

Hey so I’m having issues with my rode mic for my camera. Every time I hook it up to my Sony zv1 and do an audio test The audio gets picked up on the camera mic and not the rode mic. What am I supposed to do?

Thanks for this! I set up my camera most of the way through. I was wondering why I was getting 25fps instead of 24fps, but then fixed it by changing to NTSC. The other gotcha was though Auido Recording and Audio Level Display are both on, Audio Rec Level is grayed out; camera says that I'm unable to use it in Program Auto mode. Also, I'm on Big Sur so can't upgrade the firmware. But hopefully, ready for use!
