How to SETUP Tap Strafe on Controller (Quick Guide)

I over heard everyone was having major issues trying to figure out the new steam update for tap strafing on controller in apex legends. so I went out of my way to make this video for you beautiful people. hope this helps!!!

Just put it in picture mode and it'll bring you to the old one the better one. Top right. Then choose the game, configure and it'll bring you to the old edit layout.

you might need to set a new layout for and make sure ur stewam settings are set to steam controller input for controller settings

I used this same video before to set up my tap strafe and it worked. Today I tried playing apex and steam removed my mode shift to tap strafe. I tried setting it back up again but every time I go to set up a Mode Shift Button, it removes the mode shift for some reason Any help or ideas?

Very helpful guide but I wanted to ask something. Before the steam update i had my srafe activator on RB, and I could strafe in any direction looking forward (like I would press RB, looging straight but had my body move left, right, and backwards). With this update I can only strafe in the direction I'm lookin. My question is: can I do something to make it possible so I can strafe like before or is it impossible with this update? Thx in advance.

funny how you mentioned that people are wrong about turning the repeat rate to the right instead of left but when i did that it didnt work and then i put it to the left instead of right and it worked for me

you need to watch the other video i posted. you will need another app to switch button layout. so like i use an xbox elite series 2 so i use the xbox app to change button layout on there too

umm actually yes it is you will have to set everything up the same but when u bind the secondary bind to xbox accesories then you just make l3 the x button imnstead of making l3 what i made it in the video

You have to use customized controller settings, I had same issue as use button puncher. I have paddles so I need to assign mine to my left paddle.. currently having issues 🤯
