How do you have the option to set the charging current to 40A? I have connected mine to a 3-phase and the max I can adjust is 20A, whereas it should be 32A? Am I doing something wrong?

@@bradyross300Unfortunately not. I have tried contacting local Porsche dealer where I got the vehicle from and the charger and they said their tech guy is on a sick leave and will return a call. This was 2 weeks, the time I posted my comment… I tried contacting them multiple times since then, but they never answered. I am also waiting them three months now to source wheels for the vehicle I purchased…

Hi Paul can you help me? I just got the new set cable mobile charger from the recall they gave me new one. And I plug in the outlet 240 it’s still working and charging but it doesn’t show setting up to get the monitor like your! How am I will get the screen setting up like your ? Thank you

when i have a the charger with a fast charger can i still stop the charging session with the button next to the plug? or for fast charging i need to stop it from the module outside of the car the actual fast charger?

Hello Sir , may I ask if is possible to use this charger for a 2015 Cayenne E Hybrid? Is there an option to schedule charging the car at the specific time , say I’m coming home connected the charger to the car but to start charging only when time is 1am ?! It will be very convenient to not get outside to charge the car at 1am when the energy tariff(night electrical tariff) are the lowest

Hi Paul, this is a great video. For my Taycan my charger on the wall says 9.5KW but the car says it is only charging at 8.5KW or .4 miles per minute. Which KW is the car actually charging at - the amount on the charger or the amount in the car? I assume it is what the car is saying 8.5KW. Any idea why the KW is not matching? Thanks in advance.

The screen on the charger keeps track of how many kWh have been delivered and the screen in your Taycan will show the charging rate.

Is it capable to only charge when I have excessive solar so that instead of feeding back to the grid it charges the vehicle instead? So that will optimize my bill.

In the US, the maximum the Mobile Charger Connect can charge is 9.6kW. You would simply divide the amount of battery charge (kWh) you need by 9.6 to calculate the approximate time it will take to charge. For example if the Taycan's battery is 93kWh and you want to fill half of it, you would take 93/2= 46.5 (half the battery capacity) then 46.5/9.6= 4.8 hours

You can AC charge (Level 1 and Level 2) from either side. DC fast charging (Level 3) is only on the passenger side.

I tried the pre-heat to condition my battery before departure and charged the battery from 75% to 82%. The battery temperature only went up from 55 degrees to 60 degrees. The car interior reached it's full 80 degrees. Is there a reason the battery temperature only reached 60 degrees, I was hoping for 80.

Why can't this device just detect how many amps you have and adjust accordingly. I have a 30 Amp circuit (240) and when I plug it in it starts out on 40Amps. If I understand you correctly I have to dial it down or it will destroy something?
