How to setup WIRELESS PLAY on the Nintendo Switch

Hi, this video shows you how to setup Wireless Play on the Nintendo Switch so you can play local multi player. In the video I show various different configuration of 2 player each with their own screen and 4 player on split screen. I also show the docked mode and a variety of different controllers connected as you can't use the Joy-Cons in the Joy-Con grip when using split screen on wireless play. I also see how far away the Switch will work before they disconnect from each other. Wireless play is a great feature if you have friends with the Nintendo Switch and own the same games.

Switch will not be as common amongst your friends as the DS was. All the people that I used to play NDS with have moved on. Good times indeed though.

Hi Vince Been Watching Your Videos For A Very Long Time. Just Bought My Daughter A Nintendo Switch For Her Upcoming B day. And Also Got Her Mario Kart 8 I Set Everything Up And I Must Of Tried For 2 Hours. To Try Work Out Why One Controller Seemed To Have Mind Of Its Own. !! I Tried Calibrating The Controllers At This Point I Was Convinced There Was A Controller Fault. Until Then I Remembered You Did Loads Of Videos On The Switch. And Boy Was I Pleased U Showed How To Turn Of The Various Aids In Mario Kart Absolute Legend Thank You Vince !!!

I mean Mike, That means Your daughter Have may gotten joy con drift or it wont do things properly, You can Fix it as Long your Daughter doesnt have special edition joycons because they dont fix that, Only normal joycons Can be fixed same with pro controllers, If you Need advice on To fix it yourself i would advice A Hollow effect Joy Stick which Doesnt drift Like the GameCube or the Wii U, Aswell as N64 Controllers but Your Daughter will only be able to play the pro controller if you send it over as long as it isnt a special edition controller, Thanks for listening to this Very long sentence For no Reason 😅😅😅😅

Yes, as long as each Switch has a copy of the game it doesn't matter if it is physical cartridge or digital download.

quick thing. 8 switches can connect, but up to 2 players can play on each Nintendo switch on wireless play. 12 people at once on 8 switch can work.

I am too old for this tech. So simply put I need to buy a Nintendo Switch for every person ( 3 kids and wife), and 4 times the same game so every one has their own game for their Switch. Yea for some reason once you start connecting multiple switches they limit the player per switch to 2. So to do 8 ppl you’d need 4 switches. I guess it might have to do with processing power or something? But still wish you could do 4 in each.

Is there a way where 1 person has a OG switch and another has a switch lite for example. The OG switch loads up the game and the switch lite be able to be used as a controller. More detailed, say I want to play 3 player race, the 2 joy cons on the OG switch and a switch lite as a 3rd controller all split screen (without the switch lite having the game). Is this possible?
