You saying all the right things that people need to listen too, but usually ignore because they want to look tacti-cool. Need to have a water bottle of some kind on you without it being in you assault pack. Need a multi tool and a flashlight either in your pants pockets or on your kit your wearing. Need at least 1 TQ occupying prime real estate, and your IFAK should be obvious. That all sucks because canteens add weights and take up more space than a 556 pouch. An IFAK can be bulky or take up more molle than you want. A flashlight and a multi tool each take up pouch space that could be used for more pistol ammo; but it all beats being dehydrated, missing gear in the dark hauling dead weight of equipment you can’t use because you don’t have the simple necessities to fix on the spot.

Also agree with having a real belt on your pants independent of any battle belt set up, that can function and event take a holster if you need to downgrade your level of kit. I tried the inner outer belt concept, and I always found the inner belt lacking when it wasn’t rigid and had a buckle of its own. That’s why my battle belt has a wilder tactical pan over the inside Velcro, and I just wear what ever belt I would want to keep my pants up with.

Just wondering why you don't have a Meid Kit or a Touiriquet on your belt. Or do run it on your plate carrier? I like the idea of a multi tool on the belt. And love the idea of lightning the belt.
