I purchased the Ring Doorbell 2 but my "motion ZONE" settings are nothing like what I've seen on Rings videos or other videos on You Tube. I don't have the option of selecting all the zones you show. When I go into the motion zone setting, I am asked if my doorbell faces a street and regardless whether I select yes or no...i am very, very limited on the range to select. For this reason, I purchased a RING video camera as well in order to monitor and record where needed on my property. Very disappointed in the doorbell zone settings. Love the RING camera. Why don't I have the motion zone selection you show ?

I’m only a minute in but if you have the ring 2 and a camera and The WiFi extender and I’m installing all three at the same time for the first time am I able to select all three devices at once or do I have to do it one at a time?

Hey neighbor! Hardwiring your battery-powered Ring Doorbell will help prolong the battery life by providing a trickle charge. Keep in mind that the battery may still need to be recharged occasionally depending on usage. You'll be able to monitor the battery percentage in the Ring App as well. I HAVE A RING VIDEO DOORBELL 2 WHICH IS FREQUENTLY OFFLINE AND HAS TO BE RESET. THIS SEEMS TO CORRESPOND WITH LOW BATTERY. I AM RECHARGING AND CHANGING THE BATTERIES EVERY 4-5 DAYS WHICH DOESN’T SEEM RIGHT. INITIALLY THE FIRST BATTERY LASTED FOR ALMOST 6 MONTHS. WHAT CAN I DO TO EXTEND BATTERY LIFE.

I encountered some issues after downloading the app. After logging in and attempting to add devices, I was redirected to add user, but then the process didn't proceed further. I found this experience disappointing and will not be recommending the app to anyone.

Ring needs to simplify their system, this was obviously designed by some engineer. You should be able to enter your new wifi network from a computer and not have to go to all your devices one by one.....what a pain in the a$$!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Ring, here's an idea. Don't slot the angle mount holes the same width as the mount screws. All this does is allow the screws to slip behind the plate and mount nothing.

This is a comment from 2022, this video does not at all represent Ring's Video Doorbell 2, maybe there was a later model? There is no QR code on the back, you can't manually set the device up if you choose that option. There are better options out there

There's a part that messed me up for a while when setting up. When you connect to ToSee to set up the device my phone gave an alert that there's not internet connection. I ignored it and continued set up several times including checking my router settings. 1st time I actually clicked the alert I got the thing to work. Hope this helps others trying to set this up. It would have been much quicker if I never ignored the alert.

I regret that I bought it a 1000 times. How many times I had to reset the doorbell cam I can't count. My wifi router is 3 meter away unbelievable all that headache. I am a peaceful person but as soon as I found a working doorbell cam I will smash the ring crap with a huge hammer.
