This is the best video for setting up a cart on the 1200 I've seen and I watched at least a dozen. Very easy to follow, no unnecessary pausing, and all the detail you want! One thing to add: the 1200 manual tells you how high the tone arm should be based on your cartridge height (which you can find online). So my 18mm cart had to be at level 1.

Very clear and concise video! The only thing I did different was use Technic's supplied alignment tool instead of a protractor. Now I want to print off that AT protractor and see how accurate the alignment tool is.

What is Your opinion on the sound? Would you recommend them?

The AT-XP7 has pleasing detail and clarity. It seems to favor the mid and high range while putting a little less emphasis on the low-end. (Compared to the Shure M44-7 & Whitelabel). It's a great sounding cart that I would definitely buy again. I'd recommend it for leisure listening and club mixing. It sticks well enough for back-cueing and basic scratch techniques, but a dedicated scratch cart would be better suited for the latter.

I love the sound quality and the design. But the stylus is very sensitive to dust. From my experience you have to clean every record with a brush before playing it. That can be a bit annoying.

I have an m44-7... I can pop any other AT stylus into the cartridge??

I don't believe styli and cartridges from different manufacturers are interchangeable
