It's a good thing our popularity in high school doesn't dictate our happiness later in life. I like my nerdiness and crafty hobbies, and I think you're a pretty awesome person! On the topic of books: I'm not reading nearly as much as I'd want to, but currently enjoying Outlander and the Witcher after binging the series (and the games for the latter :) )

Aww thanks- ur awesome too!!!! I haven’t been reading nearly enough either- and I’ll have to check those shows out- I’ve been binging Schitts Creek (again- LOL) and watching the Mandalorian every now and then, but I find it a little boring honestly. HAPPY SEWING/READING/ BINGE-WATCHING! 🤣🥰

I like to hand sew and embroider but this helps by giving a very clear look at the instructions. Hard to find hand sewing videos for these.

Thank you! I made this but didn't want to go out and get the foam stuff so I like quilted fleece onto the fabric. It was chaotic and fun! Also I forgot to add both thicknesses into the width so it doesn't work for the random book I grabbed but luckily books are all different sizes. Thanks for the tutorial!

That sounds like fun! I bet it looks awesome- and yes every book is different so you will be able to use it for sure with one of the ones u have…if not it’s an excuse to get a NEW BOOK! 😍 HAPPY SEWING- and happy reading! 🥰

Do you think using cotton batting would make it have the ability to be machine washable?

Yup! You could wash it if you use cotton batting or fusible fleece! Have fun sewing!

Why not test the scrap bits of fusible foam and scraps of fabric after cutting out the pieces you need to test what side the glue is on?

Instead of using the mini-clips, try the flat metal chrome spring hair clips. They go around without interfering with the movement unlike the mini-clips do.

Have you ever thought about an instructional video on how to make a book pillow? It is kind of like a bean bag pillow for your lap that you can rest your book/e-reader on.

🤣 I thought I ruined the fabric in the wash- you know how sometimes it bleeds? I was so upset and then I noticed it was part of the pattern- then I was like what the heck?? It’s sorta subtle but I could just see if I made something w it to sell ppl would not realize it was part of the pattern- it’s a weird design choice- LOL. But the actual butterflies on it are to die for gorgeous!!

Never touched a sewing machine in my 22 years of live but I just noticed small damages on the corner of my book from stuffing it inside my backpack. As soon as I get home I’m forcing my mom to take her sewing machine out!
