Thank you so much for this clear demo....always avoided trying but now I’m fired up and ready to go upstairs and give it a go!!

Thanks for this. I use a stitch ripper to open the pigeonhole. Start in the middle and put a pin at each end to make sure you don't cut through the end bar tack.

You probably dont care but if you're bored like me during the covid times you can stream pretty much all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my girlfriend for the last days :)

Hi, thanks fot this. I use machine Bernina 1008 but I do not know how to use four pieces of the machine and why they are suitable 🙂

Which pieces are you unsure about Yassmine? Feel free to take photos and email them to me!

I'm struggling to get this right with my automatic buttonhole foot on my Elna machine. Going to have to keep trying 😢

It's definitely worth persevering, more time saving than hand sewn button holes! 😎

@@TheCreativeCurator I've been such a "lazy" sewer... making things only with knits. Its high time I started making some "real" clothes 😆

The one thing I needed to know if how to setup the machine. The manual says to set Stitch Density based on the weight of the fabric. I can't find anything that indicates which knob controls that. I was hoping your video would include that. If you re going to make a How To Video please don't leave out steps and assume the viewer "knows" things.

Thank you for taking the time to comment Scott. I do think it unfair of you to complain that one of my videos does not contain all the possible information to do with sewing a buttonhole on a Bernina 1008. My not including it was not down to 'assuming the viewer knows things' but because in this instance it wasn't relevant: I was demonstrating how to use the dials on the Bernina to achieve a neat button hole. Stitch density is in fact a completely different question.

Why not use the buttonhole foot?.
@TheCreativeCurator4 жыл бұрын
Because I don’t have one, and am more about sharing methods that don’t rely on all the extra tools - which can end up costing quite a bit! 😊

….would be so much easier with a sliding button hole foot & cutting open with a seam ripper...and neater too...…….
@TheCreativeCurator4 жыл бұрын
Indeed - but not everyone has a sliding button hole foot. This helps people who don’t! 😉
