Common duvet cover sizes:
TWIN 64" x 86" (I was able to use 60" wide stretchy fabric and still make this work!)
FULL/QUEEN 86" x 86" (you'll have to sew some fabric together or use a flat sheet as your base)
KING 102" x 86" (you'll have to sew some fabric together or use a flat sheet as your base)

Great demonstration. I made my first ever duvet cover following your video, and it turned out great. The only modification I made was that I made the placket a little farther from the bottom edge, about 6 in., which I felt would hold in the bottom corners of the duvet a little better. Thank you.

For larger duvets I have used sheets. They are nice and wide.

Sophia White love that you said this. I made a King sized duvet cover from 2 king sized sheets. I also simplified the closure by attaching 1” wide grosgrain ribbon (about 10 inches long) every 8 inches eliminating the need for buttons & holes. Much simpler and softer than buttons. Great DIY!

How do you do the button holes if your machine doesn’t have that feature? I have a Juki and it’s just a straight stitch, nothing fancy. Or if you don’t do buttons, do you have another suggestion?
