Awesome!! I see you have a Janome too! (Saw it on the Great British Sewing Bee) I love that brand!! I'm a new sewer and so far bought 4 different sewing machine. Brother, two Singers (but different models), and Janome. The Janome was the only one that wasn't computerize. :-D Love all your videos! I'm going to start sewing, at least, three of the ones I feel in love with so far. The knitting tote bag, I crochet and think this is an awesome idea, the drawsting tote, and the passport cover!!
@Sewspire8 жыл бұрын
Oh, yes, I love my Janome machines as well! I have two Brothers, a Singer and two Janome sewing machines (all computerized) as well as a Janome embroidery machine and serger and a Brother serger. Yikes! That sounds like a lot of machines for one woman. I am excited for you to make the knitting tote as it is so fun to sew! Please share photos of your finished projects! Happy sewing! Andrea

I really love this bag Andrea! I'm a new sewer and was wondering how I could add handles to this project and at what time in the sewing process would I do that. Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorial! 💚

Great idea! I would add those just before you attach the zipper.

Andrea, do you have a tutorial for putting in a longer zipper than needed with the little tab on the end so that the zipper is hanging out the end?

At the very beginning, did you have 'raw edges' of the fabric alongside the zipper - - since the folded edges were to the outside?
@Sewspire8 жыл бұрын
Hello Betty! I generally fold the fabric so the raw edges are hidden. I hope that is helpful. XO, Andrea

The only thing I would do differently is to add a wrist strap and/or zipper tabs. Other than that it is a really cool bag and a good size for packing lotion, hair products and other toiletry items.

That was crafted from a free hot air balloon pattern I got off Pinterest. It is very easy to make. Just download the pattern template from Pinterest. I stuffed mine with plastic bags; but, tissue would work even better.

+Sewspire I am a big fan!! Can you post this video without speeding through it and playing music? I wanted to see those steps. I am confused how to make this and I don't see a step by step PDF download on your website and this video speeds through and plays music during parts I would have liked to have seen. Can you post a version without music & speed through or make a PDF step by step for this zippered travel bag? Thank you!
@Sewspire8 жыл бұрын
Thank you for writing. I don't have the original of this footage or I would edit and repost for you. My apologies. My newer videos do not have any music and I only fast forward through the actual machine time. Happy sewing! Andrea
