In this video I'll show you how to sew a ring onto your crochet or knit projects. For this particular project, we're creating a crochet towel holder.
Crochet towel holders or toppers are huge lately! They're really fast and easy to crochet, making them the perfect item to stock up on for markets. The pattern is a beginner friendly pattern using basic crochet stitches and techniques. In the instructions on my blog, I have included not only one, but THREE different patterns to create a cute towel topper!

Not sure if this is helpful or not - but to lessen the frustration of yarn splitting, I thread the eye of the needle through first and most times, it works out without splitting the yarn (of this “maker” yarn. I am a big fan!

Wow, I would have never thought of doing that. Very helpful, thank you!! I work with this yarn a lot, and it’s the only thing I dislike about it.

I love the patterns. I do have a question. Have you tried joining the ring at the beginning with a SC? If so what were your results? Just wondering. Another question. Did I read correctly that it only takes about 25 yards for each holder? Thank you for sharing the pattern. I have so many DT towels these will be great to add as gifts.

Thank you!! Yes, I did try that, the only issue is you can't do it on the ending ring, so then the two ends look different. I really wish though, because it is less work. Yes, only about 25 yards per holder, based on using Bernat Maker Home.

I am using a 5 mm braided cord and did not double it. Will it work with only 1 strand when attaching to the ring? Thanks!

What do you mean to sew in the ends?
@SimplyMadebyErin
@SimplyMadebyErin 7 ай бұрын
Hi there, if after you weave in the loose ends, the ends won’t stay in place you can take a needle and thread and stitch the ends in place so they don’t move.

@crystaljohnson4729 7 ай бұрын
Ma'am, do you have a video or one we can reference to sew in the ends? Knitted abut 16 towel toppers and used your sewing on ring video (above) but do not know how to sew in the ends. Thanks!! @@SimplyMadebyErin

@@crystaljohnson4729sorry, no video. It’s just a recommendation if after you weave in your ends they don’t stay in place, you can literally take a needle and thread and stitch them in place.

Shoot…I misread your pattern and thought it was suitable for beginners, rather than advanced beginner. Can you recommend any videos that teach how to start the first line of stitches to then parlay the herringbone stitch into?
