Can you do a video on adding this type of pocket to an existing garment such as the inside of a jacket.

You are so good at these tutorials. Very helpful and I appreciate them very much. You made this look super simple. I'm sure it would be harder to do in an actual garment.

Man, you are inspiring. I have been following all your tutorials for years now. I was wondering, is there any way you could do a tutorial for a zippered side-seam pocket? Not the "invisible" zip, but the ones with the rectangular topstitch on the front panel. I have been tearing my hair out trying to figure it out for days and I cannot understand it.

Always a very helpful tutorial! The wondertape/zipper is a very good tip that I've used, but if you don't have anything like that, simple hand basting works well. I use a lot of the tape for different things, but Wondertape is expensive, so I use quilter's wash away basting tape I get from Amazon. It's works just as well and you gets tons of it. Keep it in a sealed bag though, all the wash away tapes I've tried sort of dry out after a while if I don't.

Great explanation of this pocket. I’ve sewn a pocket like this so many times but every time I need to refresh my memory. It does feel like you’re doing something wrong when you push the fabric through to the back! lol

I have to repair a zipper like that in a The North Face fleece. I am not sure how they had inserted the zipper. I am thinking they used some kind of glue because there are no threads. I am just going to sew. Thank you. This is very helpful.

Can I apply this sewing process to the waterproof zipper? I want to make a submersible backpack, or at least rain waterproof though. Thank you in advance
@TockCustom9 ай бұрын
Oh for sure. They make waterproof zippers, they have a big rubber gusset along the teeth. To make it water tight you'd probably have a do some waterproofing on every seam though. Hope that helps!

Suggestion: the camera position is not good - the view is too wide and this distorts the image of the fabric- it looks like a trapezium rather than a square....
