Great content, I'm going to be sewing some cargo pockets to a jacket I'm making, I'd adding large ones to the front and smaller ones to the upper sleeves so I've printed off your pattern at 75% scale which will be perfect!!! Thanks for creating this content, it's fantastic

Great thorough tutorial, and I was just thinking I needed to know how to do these pockets. 👏 I'm super excited for the cargo pants. I just remembered I had about 1.5 yards each of stretch cotton twill in two different olive shades that are the same color as that pocket! Maybe I'll do a tonal thing. I'm assuming girls can wear your cargo pants, too.... 😊

From a laundry point of view it is easier to remove fluff inside pockets if they have rounded corners.

Hey Allan, love your vids! Recently got myself a Singer 4411 to start sewing with the help of your tutorials. But I struggle a bit with the speed of the machine... I've adjusted the pedal to the lowest speed possible but the ramp up is still a bit too extreme for me. Noticed that you have much more granular control of it on your machine and was wondering if you have any suggestions on how to achieve this or is it just practice and getting used to the machine? Did you mean 0 and 1? I don’t see any between 1 and 2, but if you meant 0 and 1 it’s for the buttonhole setting :) Try creating a few practice buttonholes at diff stitch lengths between 0 and 1.

you sewed the button into both fabrics, doesn't that restrict the pocket from opening up all the way? Wouldn't it be better to just sew the button into the top layer not both? I may be missing something in the tutorial though.

yea agree. need to add the button on the bottom part Before sewing the bottom pocket part to the shirt. I was looking through the comments to see if that is mentioned cause I get tripped easily. lol. Great tutorial. Thank you @GloryAllan for that and the free pattern! I'm new to sewing and learn the best with a video.

Just check your printing actual size or at 100% instead of 75% or any other number.

JUst did more research on you. You say FREE even in FB but when I try to download the FREE pattern pdf you try to charge me. No matter if its just shipping or tax, it is NOT FREE. Typical clickbait scam artist. I am reporting your site and socials to our state attorney general as a scam
