I have a serger and I do love it but I always do an overcasting stich with my sewing machine using that foot.. I really like the job it does on most materials. Thanks for the video.

Me too! Sometimes it's too much of a headache to pull out the serger especially when it's a small project. Thanks for watching Peggy

@@TheAwlNighter1 lol especially when I'm in sew mode and don't want to move away from my sewing machine... You're welcome sweetie, I enjoy your videos. I've sewn for almost 50 years and still learn something new all the time..

Hi. Thank you for the useful information. Could you please advise how to avoid puckering while using the overcast foot? What are the reasons and how to avoid them? Thank you!

It could be from your fabric being too thin/lightweight. Try using tear away stabilizer or paper underneath your fabric and tear it away when done. Is it happening with other stitches? If so, your tension may be off.

Hi 1st id like to say u r excellent at teaching and perfectbwith ur craft. 2nd id like2 know if u can do a beginner series for dummies type of thing. Like which do u consider are the better sewing machines for affordable and higher end that are best for beginners, then intermediate then pro. Then next how to set up sewing machines ,what the pieces are for, the diffrent type of stitches, how to use the pieces, etc, maybe tips and hacks. And how do u sew in a straight line, like without the line going crooked? How do u know how close to put the seam? Also maybe show us easier ways for like maybe using fabric glue 4 things like quick hems maybe if thats possible? And like how to make boot cut or bell bottoms pants into straight leg. I have too many of those pants donated to me n i cant use them as they r toooooo wide from knee to ankle .

Oh my gosh, so many suggestions! I'll definitely be adding some of these to my list of to-dos. So many good ideas! I tried making my sewing techniques series more basic, but you're right I definitely need more videos absolute beginners and ppl who don't know how to use a sewing machine. Keep an eye out for future vids!
