I really appreciated your including the wider seams in your pattern, and totally agree with you, even though I'm also a quilter. Had an idea and may try it after first making a purse your way. Instead of adding piping and then sewing inside seams, I think I may try binding the panels and gusset from the outside, and let the seam allowances fill the binding for a faux piped look. I like the idea because it seams like it would hold the lining in place as well as make it easier to ease the panels into the gusset. What's your opinion?
