"Sharing a project" is a bit misleading here, isn't it? It is more like sharing an outrender.

No I don't think it's misleading. The title of the video says "How to share a project to apple devices" and I do just that.

@@StupidRaisins The point I'm trying to make: One can - share a project to apple devices (done by copying/moving the project into a media library) - share the project with Apple devices (done by exporting the video render for a specific target)
