This method is great it like sharing phone data with Ethernet cable it is great because phones are much faster than most standard 4G routers because it also supports many LTE+ frequencies that some routers doesn't. Especially if the phone is new flagship. I use one router with my phone data only, connected to load balance router with two 20mbps DSL WAN connections already connected. The total is about 90mbps download speed.

Hello from USA, will same process work to connect a mifi Franklin T10 hotspot to an Ethernet/wifi router? The router will give Ethernet connection to an Ethernet printer and excellent range increase due to fancy high decibel beamforming antennas.

Is repeater method same as AP (access point) method and or should I just buy a wifi extender on amazon? I have my old netgear c3700 600N and I wonder if it would serve the same purpose and save me some $. If I just went the AP or repeater mode? Any advice? Sorry to keep asking questions but I am connected to the LAN port ( the same port that I used to setup the NETIS administration ). The strange thing is that I am able to connect PCs and tablets via wifi to the NETIS and they can all access the internet. The hard connections have "no internet access". To start fresh, I reset the NETIS router to factory defaults (held a paper-clip in the reset hole for 60 seconds) and followed your excellent video precisely . To test, I even setup the NETIS with my cable ISP, plugged in the WAN cable and the 4 LAN ports work fine in this configuration. Are there other setting for me to check? Could I send you some screenshots or could you send some to me, to check setting? Thank you

UPDATE: I did upgrade my firmware but I do not think that was the fix. NOW netis(WF2419)-V2.2.36123 This fix seems to be Changing the WAN Type from Wired to Wireless. That got the LAN ports working but wifi connections then failed to have access. The new firmware did provide Multiple SSIDs so I made a second AP and that let the wifi connections access the internet. One remaining question. When the hotspot is turned off or leaves the area the Netis router does NOT reconnect. I have to CONNECT manually using the "AP Scan" on the Network WISP page of the NETIS administration . Anyway to automate the connection? Thank you again

I see that this could be used as a temporary workaround to have your friends or family use the internet without having to change their wifi settings while you get your broken broadband connection fixed. Other than that, the right thing to do would be to directly tether from the phone's wifi hotspot.

Use DD-WRT, Flash the Router and you will get the options (most usually). Make sure your router is supported by DD-WRT firmware first.

you can use any wifi router that supports repeater mode. Although, I wouldnt use my new phone with this, THIS WILL STRESS YOUR PHONES WIFI MODULE! and will overheat. I suggest using a cheap android phone as the centralized wifi host.

I dont think so This is a better way when you are using mobile hotspot as home wifi for everyone or if many devices will be using from this If you are using your phone itself it will have to provide service to all these devices so that will be a big load for the phone hence it may get drained out fast Instead now it is just connected to the router which will take the load of serving many devices simultaneously

@@PiBiNi what you have done is turned on Mobile hotspot. If we want to use Internet on desktop we can also use usb cable and connect from mobile to 1 desktop. This is as we know it USB tethering. Mobile gets heated if you use hotspot for long time. What I want to do is connect mobile using USB cable to router without using hotspot. This why I will be able to use my mobile internet through router on mitiple devices and my mobile will also not become hot.

With repeater mode he can transmit the hotspot connection to any device in his house. today's phones can do the same thing but they don't have the range, however this setup would be more beneficial to repeat and transmit a public wifi connection, and rebroadcast, Ive seen RVs with this type of setup.
