Ben takes take you step by step through the process of sharpening the skew chisel in the second part of this four part series that includes the gouge, the the skew chisel, the flat chisel, and the spindle gouge. The skew chisel is used for making sharp cuts for beads and other fine woodwork tasks.
In this series Ben uses a Tormek T4 Bushcraft Edition Grinder, Japanese Combination Waterstones, Japanese Slip Stones, Paddle Strop, the Orford Carving Tool Sharpening Set, Tormek paste and Camelia Oil. He also offers you options if you cannot access a Grinder (including Diamond Stones or Regrinding services). Ben then shows you the basic use of each chisel for turning on a lathe.
