How refreshing to have a tutorial that is clear, concise and has no annoying drizzle about subscribing etc. Thank you for posting

This was probably the best description of how to avoid a catch while using a skew. Thank you!

The specificity of your explanation is outstanding. And the grammar is excellent too... the must've been recorded in the 1980's... ;)

To follow up after my other comment. I utilized the information provided in your video and had great success. Further more, it made me more aware of my angles when using my other chisels and I found myself with a lot more control over my cuts. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.

Man, you know how to teach for sure! Congratulation. I got so many catches until now, ...let see if I can do it a little better now! Thank you very much.

I came back to look at this video 2-3 times. It has tons of great info. It is one of the best wood turning videos on KZbin for teaching how to use a difficult to use tool. Thanks for sharing!!!

Really helpful and clear. And succinct with no waffle. Sorted my problem with trying to do beads with a 45 degree skew and not seeing the cutting edge. Would be cool to have a few comments about the tool rest height with the same clear explanations.

I watched the late master Allan Batty teach this, and it was great but this is no nonsense, to the point and with good camera angles. Thank you for this.

Too true. 20 years ago I was a skew wizard but going back to it I seem to have forgotten everything. Lost my confidence as a result. Video helps so much!

Is the skew the preferred tool for rolling beads? So far i found it working best. Thank you for the video. There are videos using the skew for concaves... probably not recommend for beginners?

Nice work. I am curious about the rest height relative to the centre and the tool. If you could give me some general thoughts on it I could get a starting point. Thank you.

Excellent video explaining the use of a skew; a tool I have been hesitant to use. Question: Where does on buy a dead end like what is being used in the video? I’ve looked and can not find one.

Let’s call it relaxed. I have the attention span of a sand flea but I stayed with it. Mostly. If you need an instructor who’ll make you stay focused whether you’re sleepy or not, try Kent Weakly on KZbin.
