Up shifting without the clutch doesn't hurt it you let off the power then shift quickly the gear floats in sometimes smoother then when you pull the clutch in

That’s interesting. For sport bikes it’s no problem and even times smoother with good technique shifting up clutch less, but always shift down with clutch

I had problems with my foot being stuck under the shifter, i put it up a bit now just like yours. Good to see you have the same shift lever position🤣👍🏻 Makes me feel like i did the right thing lol.

i learned the hard way when my foot got crammed between the peg and the shifter and causes me to lose control and fall over causing a minor leg injury after that i put that damn gear lever as high as possible

No you can shift up without the clutch twist the throttle as soon as you twist it back and there is no accelerating or engine braking shift got to be quick but it's smoother then shifting with clutch

It doesn't hurt you if you're riding a factory bike 🤣. If you do wanna work on your bike much you can shift without the clutch. Shifting without the clutch is sometimes good but not all the time as eventually it will wear down the gearbox. The two stroke I ride I have always shifted with the clutch in, seems slower yet the gearbox will last longer.

Well you don't need the clutch in a semi, so if you're burning your dirtbike gearbox out in a year, you're doing something wrong. Syncromesh is there for a reason.
