Kind words as usual man - thanks for everything you do Pup_pup. I'm so excited that people will actually use this! During the development of this method I always felt alone in using it & intended to make the tutorial knowing that it may not see a great deal of use. It's clearly easier to multi-hunt the traditional way, but I had a lot of fun doing this hunt, despite the clunky Pokedex! For single-hunting it's a very fun & engaging way to literally *hunt* these down.

I did probably over 200 srs for entei after I already had him spawned… I didn’t know at the time but I’m glad I gave up so early but now that I know how it’s actually supposed to be done I might give it another try I already have a leaf green save that I’m hunting on

Is the roar glitch ONLY when you trap them? Or do they vanish if they use it normally?

Unless you have a way to transfer your save file to PC. Then you could edit the save in PkHeX to add the Roamer's dex entry as an alternative.

It is faster, yes. We now have an even faster way than Cerulean as well, built largely on a lot of these concepts... kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYKceZx9maiUfck - here it is. Made by mod, Rich. It's still not packaged into a final package as such yet, but the information is very good.

@@hannesbeheydt6078 there is another often overlooked way of setting up the hunt... You can use a backup device to extract the save from the ROM & then cheat the dex entry in on a PC emulator, then rewrite it to the cartridge...
