HOW TO SHIRR FABRIC WITH ELASTIC THREAD ON A BROTHER SEWING MACHINE

Well here is a quick video showing you how exactly you can achieve the shirring stitch with your Brother sewing machine. I have a Brother Project Runway CE1100PRW. I had to use the 00 setting and set both numbers to the highest. Then set the top wheel to just past 6. 7 will pull the elastic through the top. My bobbin is tight to the fullest. It is definitely imperative that you hand wind the bobbin as she showed. A machine wound bobbin won't work. It's also imperative to pull the elastic through the slot as she showed. Using the auto snipper isn't helping.

Hi i made a dress using shirring on my Brother FS-40. Not touching the tension screw. I'm now trying to make another using different fabric still lined as previous dress BUT it just wont shirr? I dont really want to touch the tension incase i mess up. Could you please advise 😢

I have a brother XR 3774 and I am trying to learn how to use elastic thread. My question is do you just put the elastic thread in the bobbin or do you use elastic thread on top as well? Also, do you use a straight stitch or a zig zag stitch?

My machine won't pick up the bobbin thread once I've put it through the slot, any tips on how to fix this?
