Not taking anything away from him, but he isn’t doing it for free. When you have a million subscribers and your videos get 2 million views, you’re making some good money from KZbin. But it’s a win-win because we get it for free, and Jerry still gets paid for it.

Jerry, as the most respected shooter in the world, it is really cool how you never ever shy away from talking about gun safety. I started shooting at 34 and have influenced the guys that I shoot with to use chamber flags and now they all do. I did not grow up with firearms, so I feel really fortunate to have been essentially trained by the greatest to ever do it. I really appreciate you and these videos. Thank you!

Thanks for taking the time to produce a highly instructional video, Jerry. I made sure to take a lot of notes and will try to incorporate that into my runnin' and gunnin' come spring. A tip for those of you shooting Berdan-primed ammo: Remember that it releases corrosive salts that can cause rust and pitting in your barrel and the gas system. Make sure to rinse WELL with hot water any parts of your rifle that the gas will get to (probably pretty messy with DI AR's, a lot easier with piston guns). Many SKS'/Mosins/858's were ruined on our side of the border by not cleaning out the corrosive salts deposited by cheap milsurp Berdan-primed ammo.

As an old Jarhead that's getting into shooting more and more now that I can afford it a bit more. I appreciate the tips. I was out last weekend using similar stance and hand placements. I've learned a lot from watching Pro's like you and others. Hand placement for the left hand has changed since I was in ( 90's ). However, I've found just as always adapt and over come to become better. Thanks again for the great tips!

@mmstover3319 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's true. I read somewhere(in one of Dick Marcinko's books probably) that SEAL Team Six, by itself, used more ammo than the entire Marine Corp one year, and you know Marines are known to be good riflemen. If you shoot that many rounds, and then go into real gunfights against trained baddies, and you are still walking around, you can pretty much trust what the guy says(about combat. Of course many of the skill sets carry over from competition into combat as well.)

Jerry Miculek, What can I say. I have watched his video's for a long time and I want to say he is the by far the BEST ambassador of the shooting sports there ever was. He takes the time to explain his extensive firearm knowledge in a professional manor to the common shooter, Military, gun enthusiast, professionals and folks who have never shot before. If you listen to him he will teach you what not to do and to do it the right way the first time. He has over 30 plus years shooting in competitions so if he says something I tend to listen to it and incorporate that in my training. I wish I could meet him someday. Maybe one day take one of his classes in Louisiana. Anyway use the valuable knowledge he is giving you and use that in your training and you will do just fine. Get some!!!!!! Be safe - Andrew, the Gunshine State.

The modern school of thought is both eyes open. Takes a bit of getting used to but has a number of advantages least of all situational awareness so you can spot other threats and you can always close one eye if the situation dictates.
