I've got the CMMG conversion kit, for my AR. After a few simple mods, it runs great. It definitely gums up my rifle, so I make sure to run some .223 through it after 100 rounds or so of .22lr. I also use my DIY plate rack a lot. Very good training tool, with a shot timer. It takes a ton of discipline to see your sight picture, when you're trying to shoot fast. But, it's a must. You mentioned not applying more trigger pressure than necessary. I always imagine "snapping" the trigger. This gives me just enough pressure to break the shot, and also gets me quickly back to reset. I've always hated the term "squeezing" the trigger. This mindset causes more problems, than good. "Squeezing" often makes shooters squeeze their entire grip, which torques the gun off target. I think it also makes the motion sound too slow, and robotic. I like to imagine that the trigger is a thin glass rod. As soon as it "snaps", I wanna get away from that broken glass, and back to reset. I just wanted to share that with everybody. I hope it helps...

If you watch his trigger finger it's truly a thing of beauty. It's perfect. The small little controlled pull is what every shooter wishes they had. Amazing. Watch him shoot that Tavor in the intro. Look at his finger. Incredible.

Nice to see the best shooter in the world training with .22lr. I run drills with my TX-22, and my CMMG .22 conversion kit, wayyyyyy more than I use 9mm, and .223. I run drills 3-4 days a week, so you can understand how it could get very expensive. I was worried that the .22 training was possibly doing more harm, than good. However, the shot cadence is about all that changes, with the change of calibers. If "the man" endorses .22 training, then it CAN'T be that bad. lol I didn't get to practice any today, so ill make up for it tomorrow. At least 500 rounds. GET SOME!!!!

Great video Jerry! Thanks!!! And those M&P 15-22's are simply outstanding, by far the best rimfire AR clone, BY FAR! I have on of the MOE versions, and I shoot it more than all my other rifles combined. (Well, I did back when I could still get .22lr ammo at a reasonable price. It's been pretty quite for the last year or so.)

I though I was shooting smoking fast hahaha not even close, Kid kicks my but, still a lot of laughs. Spent time studying your CDs and took Son out, His mouth dropped open and said OK give it up WTF are you doing, he's 30 now says what he wants. Thanks for making the CD set I had heard bout triggers never knew it to be so important to fast shooting & Accuracy .Live well Jerry.

Shades Thalon That's just my opinion. He's one of the most versatile shooters in my opinion as well. I never said he was the best, but that he's a really good shooter. Especially revolvers. Again, am I not allowed to have an opinion? Do you think he's a bad shooter or an average shooter? By the way I wasn't comparing him to anyone else to begin with. I'm simply saying he's a well rounded pistol/rifle/shotgun shooter overall. On top of that Jerry is a good man. Never heard anything negative from him, or controversial.

Shades Thalon Roger that. I apologize. I've had some pretty rough encounters with people on youtube lately. But yeah Jerry is a stand up guy. What country are you out by the way?
@DavidTMSN
@DavidTMSN 9 жыл бұрын
Shades Thalon Thanks, I just want to let you know that I have a lot of respect for Scandinavian countries, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Iceland. Just wish the EU or European Union didn't control those countries, I teach secondary education to high school students here in the U.S. - Our country isn't great anymore, one day maybe I'll get to visit Iceland or Denmark. We're not the greatest anymore, we never were. I speak German, somewhat, and would love to visit there. You obviously have a much better pulse on what goes on there than I do. But still i'd like to one day go over to Iceland and visit, just always have had much respect to Europeans overall, but I'm not entirely thrilled with what they've done as far as the EU is concerned. You take care, okay...
