When Cody does it, filmmaking looks easy too. :-D You realy only understand the hard part of it the moment you are standing on the trail with your camera, trying it for yourself. At least that's my experience.

I’d like to see a video how you balance your Crane Plus gimbal with the 24-105. Have exact same kit and it drives me nuts trying to get it balanced on all axis!

My favorite videography and mtb related BTS video. I really love your work! Just two little questions: How do you keep focus on your subject during one scene? Are you using autofocus or how do you focus?

Usually auto unless it's not working then I flip to manual

Very nice vid! Do you mind me asking what you do for focus? Like when you shoot through the trees, do you use autofocus? Because when I do, it always jumps from background to foreground focus... Or in this first shot when he jumps, where do you set the focus when your rider is not in the shot yet?

Manual focus if there's something that might confuse my focus. otherwise auto

This was the hidden GEM FIND of wizardry filming techniques- stumbled across this video and it's one of the best I've seen for months! So comfortable on camera and your editing and exploring on this subject was second to none! Brilliant video bro! Shame I have got a MEGGA gimble or any gimble for that fact, as it seems to be the best option. Could you adapt a go pro 8 with wide angle and the hyper boost stabilization on and fixed on a selfie stick?

So the gopro will be my best and only option apart from my phone really so I'll loosen the max iso up to 3200 and the ev comp to 0 ( I normally run it at -1 in general ) and that should keep it a bit brighter, thanks for the great ideas!! I'll be sure to try them out on my next group ride!

Yeah man I would like to but this one is already 13min. If the videos are too long people won't watch so I can't talk about EVERYTHING unfortunately. Gimbal mode never changed btw. Just used the standard mode the whole time

Loved the style of the video and think it was great, but It would be cool if you talked a little bit more about settings of the camera and such here and there and why you are choosing this aperture or setting white balance throughout. Just an idea. I have a SmallHD focus monitor and really have been wanting to mount it onto my Crane 2 with my sony a7iii...but don't know which connectioin accessory i should get. How you liking yours?

Cool video. I'm curious what kind of changes you make in post when you show the mtb footage from the a73. It looks so much more cinematic. Really impressive how good the footage is when you're running with the gimbal. Solid work 👍

1) Add black bars. 2) Color grade. Those are the only changes really. Thanks for watching!

Mostly f4 dude. and mostly 24mm. Manual settings but auto focus.
