Great video and very well articulated. A 5.56/.223 ar15 has negligible recoil and more so muzzle flip/climb so the cheek method is very effective. 👍🏼👍🏼

Well said. The cheek method was used by Samurai with matchlocks, with substantially more recoil than a 5.56mm.

I've tried all those methods and settled in on the green laser to use it as a hip gun, and I also train at 15 yards. It's still fun to shoot with or without a brace.

Use a sling, push with the support hand to drive the Barrel to the target, pull with the trigger hand while maintaining tension on the sling. Much safer and more comfortable.

Good presentation. Everyone should also look up the video by demonstrated concepts on cheek shooting. You demonstrate several methods and say to choose the best one. My take on this is to use the position/technique that suits the particular environment you are in. At close range the two hand push pull method. Especially around obstacles or in kneeling or other positions on the ground. I will do some experimenting to see what is best. Use cheeking for longer shots. The bungee sling is for when you back is straight. For cheeking the buffer tube I will likely elevate the optic. I do not have any forward grip on the forearm yet. i am not sure about the legality of it. I have a .22 rim fire conversion kit and will start practicing on at steel at about 100 ft. I eventually want to be able to hit a torso at 200 yards that is the longest distance on my property. I will likely be actually using either 300 blackout or 7.62x39. Even if the brace ban is struck down, a weapon without a brace is more compact and so it might be better for somethings.

Do not register as an SBR. That puts you on the ATF's list

Using an SBR if for any reason in a shooting you are in error can heap and additional 10 years in prison. Also need permission to cross state lines with one.

Great video for a time when the ATF got stupid! I use the sling method but run it over my right shoulder and under my left. That way I actually cheek on the two point sling for a slight advantage in stability of the AR pistol. I have bad shoulders and the sling helps me push out and hold some of the weight of the pistol better!
