The $1.50 cost of each use (if you wear it 100 times) seems great- but it’s worth noting that it won’t look/feel/fit as well at use 80 as it did at use 10! So the less you own, the faster your pieces wear. One of the pitfalls of minimalism for me unfortunately 😕

One of my favorite videos from you! I watched it twice so I could take notes 😅 Loving all the thoughtful capsule wardrobe content. So detailed and practical!

I need to get better at buying clothes that I will actually wear..and decluttering the ones that I don’t wear or that don’t work for me anymore. This video and your last declutter have been really helpful! Thank you!

@@shawnaripari Thank you! I have a feeling that once I am finished I might need to revisit in a month or so to see if I missed anything that I really, really never use. It is taking a long time to complete, though, because I am trying EVERYTHING on to make sure that it still fits, especially since I have changed shape a bit. I have found that going section by section helps prevent decision fatigue.

I forgot in Australia we seperate our seasons like this. Summer from December to February. Autumn is March to may. Winter is June to august. While spring is September to November. So having clothes for one season isn't too bad. Three months of wear and could carry through to the next month if done right.

For me my only one season clothing pieces are summer. I live outside of Chicago and we have longer summers than you do and some summer pieces can be worn on some spring and fall days. I will wear the same clothes in winter, fall, and spring, but heavier clothes often during the coldest days of winter. But I do own a number of summer dresses. But I have been wearing some of them longer than 10 years. We can't wear cardigans or heavier pieces during our summers like I have seen you set aside for summer during some of your videos. Pants, yes. If not heavy.

I tend to be super practical thinking with clothes and shoes too!! Mulling things over in my head and making plans, comparing things in detail. Colour combos, when to wear, will it be easy to handle. But I also agree and think to simply have a few beautiful, fun items just because you enjoy is perfectly fine and can add to you feeling content☺️.... I wish wish wish I had half the common sense when it comes to make up 😢😢 it's so odd how that works! I also definitely have too much (fashion) jewelry and nail polish too but... They last much longer in general and you can mix them up.... it's easier also to pass them along to someone else & or exchange with someone. And somehow I still am more reasonable and planned with them. It's like make up is the Mad Max zone (⊙_◎)
