This is such a great video! I was wondering if I might be able to ask your advice. I'm looking to shorten the bodice of a girl's jersey pinafore dress. It's a fairly simple pattern with a gathered skirt. I'd like the bodice to end across the chest, rather than the waist, so would need to shorten it by a couple of inches. Would this technique work for that? I'd like it to have a good fit (not too big) across the chest. I guess I would add a little to the length to make up for the lost length in the bodice. Thanks x

What if you need to lengthen above the bush?

Changing the length above the bust is a trickier adjustment if there are sleeves, because you'll also need to alter the sleeve head. If it's sleeveless, the same principles apply. I don't currently have a tutorial for this adjustment but they're out there.
