Every time I have a fit problem that I can’t find an answer to, I find the perfect direction in your videos. Thank you so much! I couldn’t figure out why the backs of my dresses and tops would hang down lower at the back hem, and this video helped me to shorten my back waist length without altering the grain of the back.

Thank you for this. This last method where you take in the waistline area when the centre back has a seam is how we learnt it at school. Every back is curved, so the back seam is always drafted curved by taking in 1cm to how much the client needs. It also helps in contouring the garment on the back. I love looking at people's backs because of this! 😅😌

My dress has a zipper down the middle with no center seam. Zipper inserted in a small rectangular opening. How do I do the sway back alteration on a finished garment?

Question, does the sway back adjustment have to be done on both the bodice and skirt? The guide only lists the skirt.

Kirie Himuro - not necessarily. It just depends what style of garment you are designing.
