Yes you need to fill out your compare at price. Check that the regular sale badge shows up before following the tutorial And make sure you are using a free theme

@ ill try again tomorrow. I have all my compare at prices set to the same price as my base price because my sale prices change. Shopify help told me i had to manually change all 1600 listings every time I wanted to run a sale. Smh. (oh and I'm using the updated dawn theme.)
