Great video! Quick question: Am I correct in assuming that any information stored within each tab (e.g., Dashboard, Contacts, Messages, etc) will be vulnerable / unprotected because the tabs are option sets? Would it still be possible to hide certain information within the option-set tabs if the information are data types (as opposed to option sets) despite the tabs themselves being option sets? Just want to make sure this setup would still allow me to protect sensitive information for a custom-built portal. Thanks in advance!

Hi Andrew, you're right in saying that Option Sets are not secure. However, this refers to data you store in the Option Set fields itself as this loads in with every page in the background. For example, you shouldn't create an Option Set where you store sensitive data in the Display field, like secret keys. Setting Display as "Dashboard" is not sensitive data. In this instance the correct way to protect your data is to have the appropriate privacy rules set for each of your data types. In our example that would mean having privacy rules in place to protect the data types Contacts and Messages. Using privacy rules is the only way and only correct way to protect data in your database. Is your group layout set to fixed? Try setting to Column or Row.

If you have multiple elements to show and hide and they aren't all in the same group.
