What helped you the most? I'm still trying to get my "scooping"-foot on the board...
@ScoutLawrence4 жыл бұрын
I just tried my best to commit to it even after falling a few times
@TheFuzzAxel4 жыл бұрын
@@ScoutLawrence Yeah i think i'm scared of falling or hurting myself. I need to commit more. I think i'm going to try this trick in the grass a couple of times before going back on the road.

Ok, that sounds like a good plan

@@ScoutLawrence Today (session 7 or so) i have landed my first one! But from a non-moving posistion. Next time i try when riding.

I can do this on a regular board, let’s see if I can make the transition. Good advice!

Something i picked up with this video, braille's guid says to put your foot on the side of the tail, or almost side of the tail and kick it behind you. BUT, thats not quite right, because if you just follow those steps you wont get a good shuvit. When he said "just make sure your feet are comfortable," i went outside and tried and got closer to landing it in the first two tries than ive got in a week

Thanks for this bro, could you do one showing the nollie shuvit?
@ScoutLawrence5 жыл бұрын
Nollie shuvit and what I was doing in this video, fakie shuvit and basically the same trick just switched feet, otherwise it's the same motion and just as easy once you're comfortable
@skatinpeyton72124 жыл бұрын
So it’s basically a pivot with a body varial?
@ScoutLawrence4 жыл бұрын
Sort of, but a good shuvit doesn't involve your body turning at all, just the board
@skatinpeyton72124 жыл бұрын
Scott Lawrence ohh gotcha, yeah I gotta work in those haha. Oddly enough I have a pretty good bag of freestyle tricks and danced but I never really learned shuvits. Great video btw 😁🔥

Scott Lawrence i don’t really know the brand but I know that it’s a cheap longboard I want to buy a real skate but I feel like I’m not gonna be good and give up do u have any tips or brand to recommend for skate or longboard ?
@ScoutLawrence4 жыл бұрын
I certainly understand your worry, it's something everyone thinks of when they first get into skating. I think your best bet is to go onto a site like eBay or Kijiji, and find something used, there is plenty of quality boards out there people are selling for much cheaper than original, that's how I got all the board's I've rode on the channel (besides my current which I bought new). Some common and trusted longboard brands are Landyachtz, Sector 9, Original, Rayne, Bustin, that's just top of my head. I don't know alot about traditional skateboards so I won't comment on that. And if you're really unsure, just keep trying on what you have, you could buy the most expensive board out there, and you still can't improve until you're comfortable on that specific board, so just keep practicing, eventually it'll all click

Scott Lawrence ok thank you for the informations iil try to get better on my current cheap longboard and iil see what iil do after ,I’m searching for like a cheap board just to start and be at least able to do some tricks and after that buy a real good board I’m just not sure if my parent would like the idea 😟 (like on my longboard I’m barely able to turn the board with my feet and I think that having a skateboard will help me do tricks later on longboard) anyway I appreciate that you took the time too tell me that thank you so much 💪🏼💪🏼
