Great vid!! The info on 30:00 can be adjusted, you can for example double sleeve similarly your side deck extra deck monsters, so you have everything ready. Great in depth info over the basics, vids like that make you a better player even if you are experienced

That’s not why Gamma went to 1. It went to 1 because of more extra deck monsters that came out that got to abuse gamma to the fullest. If gamma wasn’t a tuner that could be brought out with e tele, it probably wouldn’t have been hit at all tbh

I have a big issue with siding, my deck is focused primarily on doing whatever a side deck would already do

I always have 3 of each card for my cards in my side deck because I want to see these cards in games 2 and 3. I generally side deck in cards that I can activate on turn 0 or can play around floodgates and of switch out a maximum 6 cards, so my chances of bricking are a lot less.

Love the refreshers Squiddy! So if we side extra deck cards, does our extra really need to be in the same sleeves as our main?

the extra deck can be different sleave but the side extra cards have to be in main deck sleaves and u have to ramove the card from the sleave to put it in the extra deck sleaves if you side them in/out and vice versa. but if you double sleave it can be easier to use same sleaves for extra and main but just slide off the double sleave when siding!

i play for my extra deck black sleeves and for my main deck and side deck (ithout extradeck cards) white sleeves. is this not legal to do ???

this is legal but u must desleeve and exchange sleeves if u side extra deck cards so that the extra deck is always in black and side in white

Do you need to reveal if you're deciding to go 1st or 2nd when you start siding? I've seen people talk about some strats they do in deck profiles, saying if they lost game 1, they intentionally side for going 2nd blow outs and force the opponent to go 1st, just to catch them off guard and hopefully make the opponent brick on go 2nd cards. I've never played IRL events so I don't know if it works like that

yup exactly u dont reveal until aftar siding so u wont know if ur going first or second until u present decks 🙀 so if a player lost g1 and can choose, they can surprise there opp by picking to go second after the oponent sided expecting to go second

you DOESN'T skip DRAW PHASE going FIRST, you simply cant draw 6th going FIRST, you still have draw phase

I think that side deck depends on what you play in your deck. It's not like you add cards to stop your opponent and done. No You need to try add side deck cards that allows you to stop your opponent but also helps you to extend your combos if it is possible. Is a bit sad when you side deck for going first and you draw any of your main strategy cards and the side cards doesn't allows you to make any combo at all. For example. I like to use Ash blossom in Salamangreat cause it is searchable, it's a level 3 i can use for xyz and even normal summon for turning it an Almiraj and keep playing in case I need that. I also prefer to play Dark Hole in salamangreat than lightning cuz i can easily recover or even prevent for destruction using link 1. For me, kaijus are really powerful and back in time it helps quiting annoying monsters like Shaddoll Winda or Apollousa. I have also mentioned in this video that some handtraps can be used more than once per turn and that is really an advantage over other hand traps. That's why I prefer Crow than Ghost Belle. Ghost Ogre doesn't negates but you can prevent the resolution of opponent Continous effect sp/tp cards. And last but not least You said something about cards that helps going first and cards that helps going second. But there are really good cards that works well without taking in count the turn. I'm talking about Quick Spell cards. You can use quick spell cards in your first turn or even going second, Enemy controller can stop some plays going first for your opponent turn, and going second it allows you to un-target your monsters by cost. When you have a monster effect and your opponent tries to negate the effect by targeting the monster using veiler or Impermanence you will still resolve the effect and steal an opponent monster. This applies to book of moon and Forbidden quick spells too. Have a nice day squiddy It's always a pleasure to watch a video of you and comment here :3

Just wanted to make a correction here, it’s actually that you have three minutes to side deck and present your deck for the next game. Not just side deck, this is a common misconception, and has led to a number of penalties being applied historically, just be careful of that! Great video as always friend

Veiler and droll on turn on isn't-1 really because you have a +1 with draw?

-1 just means you use a card, and it generates no additional cards to use and removed no cards from your opponent either. Drawing for turn is its own action. Droll and veiler trade 1 physical card with an effect, or the option to use other effects, but do not add or remove cards. You shouldn't be concerned with a draw for turn as it's irrelevant to the effect of droll or veiler. It matters if the card effect used skips your draw or gives an extra draw.
