I absolutely love this lady she is so smart. Over a decade of my own prospecting for gold I live in gold country California. I couldn't resist the suspicions of walking on rich soil. Since birth I've always collected rocks I would rather be in dirt than having dolls. Conformed to the white picket fence I was attached to the time card. Always in the back of my mind curiosity lingered it started out on weekends then sometimes after work I would find myself going into the creeks around my property places close by. Old time prospectors warmed up to me taught me a lot. When I was paid cash for something I loved to do.. ..... life's purpose became clear. . . No longer am I attached to a time card, but not every one is born to do this field of work. . . Not for the faint at heart . Its herd work but I don't even call it work..... thank you for your share..

You can buy them online as Gold Sieve Set - 1/4 inch and 1/8 mesh or at gold mining or detecting shops.

@LizKreate9 жыл бұрын
+Fabianus Gita Look online for "Gold Panning or Prospecting Sieve." There are many to choose from plastic to metal and also a combination of both. I only use the 1/4 inch and 1/8 of an inch mesh. Cheers, Liz

Nice video! And also I went to Luray Caverns and bought a bag with sand and had to put the sand into a filter over water then got gemstones and 2 of them were pretty. I got a crystal that is purple and got a quartz crystal. And one of my favorite animals are koalas. And i will go to Austrailia and Korea in like 4 years.

@LizKreate7 жыл бұрын
Hi Clinton, I'm glad to know you're getting into this very rewarding hobby. There are a few places around NSW where one can go fossicking and nowadays it's only a matter of doing a bit of research on the net. I also have a few videos on NSW locations that might be of use to you. Please take a look at my "Gold Gems and Treasures" playlist. Thanks for watching and happy hunting. Cheers, Liz

Hi Daniel, We bought ours from Sydney many years ago but seen them available on ebay. Look up "aluminium sieves for gold panning or prospector". Cheers, Liz

Hi Liz, Have you ever sorted your stones on a photographic light table? (Or even an ipad with a white screen!) It'd be so much more efficient than picking them out under sunlight where you can't see through them unless you hold them up. Cheers!

Never thought of that Jo. Very clever. Might have to try that out on our next trip. Thanks for the tip. Cheers, LIz

how do you get the bottom pan so clean and able to find such a small specimen of gold? looks like even though it's in the flowing water as you're sieving a lot of dirt would be landing in your bottom pan or does it actually just wash away? Thanks! by the way, first vid I have found that clearly shows exactly what to do. I just moved to Tassie, looks like a lot of fun. Even if I just got $100 worth of goodies I would be stoked.
@LizKreate7 жыл бұрын
Hi Zac, Gold being 19 times heavier than water will always hug the bottom of the pan below all other concentrates. Even flour gold when agitated will very quickly work it's way to the bottom of the pan. Thanks for watching. Have a Merry Christmas and all the very best for the New Year. Cheers, Liz

There is a Lazy Way to do this. Divert some of the stream water to run over the entire tower. You can use the 1/8 in" screen as the 3rd w/ a pan under. 1/2 and 1/4 can be stacked over. You may have some matrix w/ stones.

Hi, I love gems, rocks and minerals, I wish I live in Australia where there are plenty of beautiful stones. Or at least visit one day. I live in the middle province of Canada where rock hounding areas are very limited.I stumbled on your channel today while searching KZbin. I've watched few of your vlog already. I thought I heard a hint of Filipino accent but wasn't sure until I've seen some of your cooking channel cooking "ginataang munggo"', and the "ado bong pusit". Hmmm... Yummy.... I would love to correspond with you, and I'm also interested in some of your rough finds. Would you be selling them? I do buy Boulder opals online. Hope to hear from you. Thanks 😄 and thank you for posting these vlogs.
