You're missing two things: 1. benchrest shooting of some sort could help eliminate variable results often seen with free hand shooting. 2. how did you move the sight? (a) method (b) rationale of how much movement needed

What a fucking beautiful gun. Nothing beats a lever action. As long as youre a good shot and got that ammo reserve. Nothing beats it.

Something else I would add is where you do you position the target in relation front and rear sight? Does the target sit on top of the front sight post or do you put the front sight post directly on target you're trying to hit. Good information overall. Thanks.

Beautiful rifle! Not the best job showing actual sight adjustment. I get there are different ones, but at least showing it could help folks, especially if you need to drift it with a punch.

Nice, straight forward video. I am surprised the siting in wasn't done from a rest. But, perhaps with a lever action MOA accuracy isn't the game plan. QUESTION: With this small, pinkish target at 25 yards, point of aim apparently is right over the one inch, diagonal square target. Now, re different target: When we shoot at the larger black circle with bullseye at the 10-ring, smack in the middle, we're usually instructed to do "a six o'clock hold". What a relief, because . . . squeezing off with open sites I find it impossible to position the front site over the precise middle of the black, the 10 ring. Even maintaining a steady hold, It doesn't seem possible to 1) place the site exactly over the 10 spot, dead center, and/or 2) be consistent with three shots because the opportunity for precision at even a distance of 25 yards WITHOUT A SCOPED rifle is near impossible. However, I am able to get a consistent, clear site picture holding the front site's tip right at the bottom of the black circle i.e., the 6 o'clock hold. With the latter target, if we get three shots in the 10-ring then, while our group is tight ("sweet"), the point of impact is actually a few inches ABOVE the bottom of the black, i.e., the position of the 6 o'clock hold -- where our site sat. WHAT TO DO?! Now, when shooting a scoped weapon is the game plan still to shoot dead center of the target OR a 6 o'clock hold? Or, what are the circumstances when one method/practice would be favored/suggested over the other? I'm leaning towards guessing a different procedure for scoped rifles -- because of the opportunity for a razor sharp image from considerable distance(s) -- and open site rifles. (in the spirit of the location of Gunsite I'll sign off appropriately with: "Muchas Gracias"

Using a brass punch and a small ball-peen or plastic hammer gently butt firmly rap the rear sight right for right or left for left I watch a lot of vids My Model 94 is vertical, X still having problems up and down

Why did he ask for "Federal" ammo? Whats the point of having the rounds on the stock if your just going to ask for "Federal" ammo from your buddy? Could it be your promoting "Federal" ammo? Na
