Ive completed my background check and application and been waiting for months for an opening what can i do to switch to a busy area so my application can be complete? How long does an opening usually takes?

I signed up, uploaded, but have been unable to get authorized. I applied in June of 2024 and my insurance card expires September 1. I'm guessing that could be why, but I have contacted support for assistance. I am currently driving for DD and was going to add Spark as an additional gig opportunity. Your video was extremely helpful and did help me to navigate better than on my phone. Most of the original application was through the phone.

I enter my zip code and then choose the Walmart near me and nothing happens. It says, "Once you’re approved, you’ll be able to deliver orders from these locations" but there is no way to move forward in the application process. This is beyond confusing... :/

Did you get the email/text messages telling you that you have been approved and you can sign in? Walmart Spark sends an email with the temporary password you need to use to sign in the first time to the Spark app.

Yes, you need to get approved first before to go to the app, because the password in the website isn't same that the app.

There are ways around this. If they have an iPhone they can turn off "precise location" for the spark app and this can help. The other way is that they can be far away from the Walmart when they get the order. If they are far enough away the app will allow them to start the order early because the app thinks they are far enough away it will take them until the 44minute mark to arrive at the store.

I have reached out to spark drivers ;when I spoke to the representative by phone and email it is always there is no spots available in that zone. How often do spark updates the system to see if drivers have move to a different zone or any availability around the state or city that can use drivers. It has been 4 months just waiting to even complete the application.

The website no longer shows the cities that have referral incentives. Where can you find out what cities are needing drivers now?

It looks like they took out that feature. I should have removed it from this re-uploaded video. The best advice I can give is to choose a random zone that's not in a major city and hope for the best. Also, choose a zone that has a lot of pickup areas rather than 1-2 so that they need more drivers and you can get started sooner.

You need to call spark support and see what's going on with your account. It may be that there aren't spots available. But, it wouldn't hurt to call and find out.
