mine brand new rad and system flshed out all round house-rad warm rather than hot -top half warm----bottom half cold-plumber left it like this as he failed to bleed other rads upstairs as wee found out after he left and had been paid ---other rads upstairs and down roasting now after i bled them all--- but not the new double one he fitted-he came back and alledged it was air after 15mins he said it was ok another £30-if i had been there i woulkdnt have paid him-no better--rad still the same---wife told him i had bled it no air coming out she told him--- that was 10 days ago-he hasnt come back-what in your opinion is the problem thanks

Hi, i cant seem to understand exactly the issue, the only 2 issues with a radiator is having too much air or having Radiator sludge which is a mix of dirt and rust, this is what stops your rad getting warm. in regards to someone you paid to fix the rad its a civil matter. always pay after job satisfaction.

What if the air hisses then stops? and water doesnt fill to the top.

When air hisses stop then means air is nil in rad and should be filled with water and if water not coming out of the bleed nozzle then could be jammed

Yes I do that.. but I have still have the problem 😕. Its brand new upright radiators. Pluss I have a Instinct Eco-Mag fitted. Pluss it's a new boiler

My radiator is hot at the top but cold at the bottom. The weirdest thing about it is that return pipe is hot and flow pipe is cold(actual pipe below trv). I am puzzled. Could it be because system is not well balanced?

check with your other rads if its the same, normally if its cold at the bottom then the rad needs cleaning out as alot of debris from the pipes is sitting there. get a mag filter install too.

@@ZRKREVIEWS thanks. That's what it is other rads are also cold at the bottom. It just does not explain why pipe under TRV is cold and return pipe is hot.
