I think the biggest reason that I've been having trouble with trying to sing punk is that, through my life, all of the vocal training I've had has been reinforcing making my voice sound "pretty." This video was really helpful with helping me to get away from that! Now I just need better range.

Ainsley McFarland glad it helped
@bagenius59704 жыл бұрын
You will still need a lot of what you learned in vocal training like good breathing, using your diaphragm, opening your sound up, etc. because it's rock and you will need a big sound. Billie's voice is no exception to being big, especially in their newer albums. I took two semesters of voice lessons in college and it helped me, not only with my Billie Joe impression but also to reach higher notes in other rocks songs such as the Foo Fighters.

same!! i've always loved singing but im very new to practicing for real,, i feel like by default i sing "pretty"

So glad to have you back Chris. Bob, gigging singer. Love this type of tutorial. Please consider one that remains a major challenge I would say for many singers, Tony Lewis' vocal on The Outfield's "Your Love." Boy, that is one challenging song.

Dude this is awesome! I love this breakdown. Very Inciteful and detailed. But have you listened to their more recent music? He is incorporating a lot more mixed voice into it and he sings much higher. Would love to hear you breakdown some of that. Songs Like "Meet Me on the Roof" for example.

I'm confused, what is the highest note that can be played with this voice? Looking at applications and using amplitude to see the notes it says that it reaches an F4 or G4, is that true or is it lower?
