Amazing Video Michaela. As a Metal Vocalist myself, I would really love to try out Whistle notes a lot. Usually I practice them just after waking up during morning tea, with vocal fry to thin out my vocal cords. Though I practice daily Monday-Friday, At that point I'm somehow being able to sing uptil E6. Thanks a lot for this amazing video. It really helped me a lot. I really love your Ariana Grande style Whistle notes of your's a lot. Great Job Michaela. I subscribed to your channel to hear more of your singing.

Wow, hard? yes, for now! I've been screeching like a banshee for like 2 years for fun & I never knew that I was doing a register that singers ACTUALLY use until the day before! I've hit & sustained my favorite note F#6 today! The exercises are a bit tough but maybe it's because I'm a boy who's voice hasn't reallyyyyy matured yet BUT most importantly, thank you for the advice!

@LucienL-b7d Жыл бұрын
I have been exploring the topic of whistle notes because I know I can hit notes from the 6th octave to the lower 7th octave but then there's a gap before I suddenly hit notes c8-g8 and then there's another gap before I hit the notes between c9-g9 and occasionally a or b in the 10th octave. the notes in the 8th and 9th octaves are easy for me to hit but I want to work on closing the gaps because I know that notes in the 8th-10th octaves are not particularly pleasant to hear. (male whose voice has already deepened if that changes anything.)

You’re so underrated, I love your whistle note singing videos and they deserve millions of views because you sound so beautiful doing those. This was a very helpful video. Right now I’m trying to work on my tone of whistle notes, do you have any tips on how to go higher in/expand your whistle register? I can’t go higher than Bb6 without squeaking lol I don’t know how it is supposed to feel when going higher. I can’t understand what I’m doing wrong, does the placement change a little or do you push less air out, can you help me with that? Thank you for making such great videos they make my day!🙂
@MichaelaHughess3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much!!😄 the best thing to do in my opinion to expand your whistle register is to practice and listen to people doing whistle notes and trying to imitate them as best you can (thats what worked for me). I noticed that when I go higher when doing whistle notes the placement in my voice moves up and I'm pushing out the same amount of air. I'm hoping this helps💕

besides the buzzle what are the other types of exercises you did to find your whistle note , how long did it take you to find this record , i can only find a hissing sound when i draw air in through the fry , will i not do I have the possibility to learn? you can answer this comment giving me a simpler tip, because I realized that when you do the buzzle bc you already do it connected to the whistle then it gets even more difficult for those who don't even reach the record.... Thankyou.

Another warm up you can do is say "how" in the closest thing to a whistle note you can do is. It took me a couple months to be able to do whistle notes. Some people are not able to do whistle notes because they don't have the vocal range to be able to do them. Hope this helps🙃

If I may tell you and ask about whistle notes, so I recently got my whistle, when I was talking "rawrrr" rose more and more, then suddenly I had a whistle voice, the tone I reached was erratic and full of airy notes. I reached D6 E6 F6 G6 but my whistle notes only appear sometimes, sometimes they appear, sometimes they don't appear and when I want to try the whistle notes again, air comes out, I know I can definitely whistle notes, but how do I do it when I do whistle notes? does it do it easily and doesn't air come out?
@MichaelaHughess7 ай бұрын
Whistle notes are supposed to be airy and light. I would listen to other people do whistle notes and try to copy them. Only practice for about 10 to 15 mins a day so you don't over practice and make sure to keep practicing until you get it❤️
