Great info! These are excellent crates, but we have a large dog, as well, and had to go with an Impact high anxiety crate with larger inside dimensions for home use.

The inside dimensions vs the outside dimensions is definitely a downside to the Gunner Kennels. Impacts are great from that standpoint! Thanks for taking the time to drop a comment!

I have a greyhound, he is oddly proportioned. Hight at the withers 32", Lenth 48" and 75#. Im looking at a travel kennel for him. He can curl up easily, but I worry he won't be able to turn around. Your large dog measueed longer than him but shorter. Any experience with greyhounds? He's pretty average sized.

It doesn't sound like your dog won't be able to full stand up in the large kennel. What is tough with travel crates is that they are supposed to be small in order to keep a dog safe. That being said, I hate putting a dog in a small crate. Will this crate be inside your car or in a truck bed? If it is in your car you may want to consider an Impact crate. It probably won't be as safe as the Gunner in a major accident, but it will be a better fit for him and will still offer way more safety than being free in the car.

Thanks for the video. What were Dash's measurements?

Sorry for the delay! He is 27 inches to the top of his head and 34 inches long. Let us know if you have any other questions!

He’s such a handsome guy. I got recommended the intermediate for my mixed breed with very close measurements to his but since it would be for home I think I’ll go large. Is that going to seem excessively big considering my dog is only around 45-50 lbs? How much does Dash weigh?

For a full grown lab, 80-90lbs would you go large or intermediate?
@SuburbanK9DogTraining11 ай бұрын
Hey John! Will this be for travel or home? For travel I would probably go with a medium for maximum safety but it would be worth measuring the height and length of your pup. For home I would do a large for sure for extra comfort.

Intermediate at least large monster

Great video! what kind of dog is Dash? My dog is a mix and I dont know what exactly she is, but she looks just like him!

Hey! He is a mixture of Australian Cattle Dog and Catahoula Leopard Dog. Is yours brindle as well?
@dantoniop5 ай бұрын
Amazing! She is tan with dark brown spots and some white; I know her mother is an Australian Shepherd but no idea what the father is. Her ears and face look just like Dash's :)

Can we get XL crate for cane corso
@SuburbanK9DogTraining4 ай бұрын
The largest Gunner makes is a large. It is a big crate, but is probably too small for a large Corso. You would need to measure to confirm though. Will this be a travel crate or home crate?

@@SuburbanK9DogTraining He is around 120 pound need a travel one!
@SuburbanK9DogTraining4 ай бұрын
@@Sarowar1999 My guess is that he is going to be too long for the large, but unfortunately there are not a lot of good options for strong travel crates in that size. If this will be for short trips it might be ok, but for long trips it could be uncomfortable or scary for him due to the size.
@Sarowar19994 ай бұрын
@@SuburbanK9DogTraining not alot options sadly. Hopefully you guys make on more size for the XL dogs in the future.

ugh I just can't put my dog in a small kennel for car,,, its too squishy for a long ride

Why would someone buy one of these for the house anyway? They’re built for travel.
@SuburbanK9DogTraining6 күн бұрын
A lot of people don't want to have to buy multiple cages and use this mainly in the home and then put it in the vehicle for travel as needed.
@Wingdings086 күн бұрын
@@SuburbanK9DogTrainingI was referring to when you said people would buy a bigger one for the home and the right sized one for travel. That’s just insane to me.
@SuburbanK9DogTraining18 сағат бұрын
@@Wingdings08 Ahhhhh, I misunderstood your first comment! When we see people do that it is usually because they have a dog that doesn't do well in the crate. They are buying a Gunner crate or an Impact because it is stronger than a cheap wire crate. They are pricey so it adds up in a hurry though!!!!

Doesn't matter how safe they are. They are not tall enough . Those are called cat crates. Never put dogs in crates they can't stand up and stretch. You being scammed.
