Thanks for the information. I'm looking at getting a jump rope just for cardio. I chose this video because it had people dressed the most modest.

I like Floyd Mayweather love to have it long to do crossovers while doing high knees and overall boxing jump rope.

You all are great!...I have a problem: my left arm is weaker than the right, so my left wrist/hand stay lower when I jump.Besides that, I can not do CROSSOVER in a smooth way(I tried many times) and I think it is because the diffence of the wrists/hands...I do not know!!! How can I solve this?....I am worried about it because I have already knot the rope but it did not solve the problem.

Outstanding video...You said that you would size Jordan’s freestyle rope differently with a heavier rope...Which way?...Would you leave a little more on or take a little more off? Thanks!
@BuyjumpropesNetjump-experts6 жыл бұрын
Great Question. That would depend on his jumping ability and preferences. The more proficient a jumper is the shorter they like the rope. But, everybody is different. I would likely shorten the rope in most cases so there is less effort to turn the heavier rope. Thanks!

When I started people told me to step with 1 foot on the rope and I should be on my nipples height, I did it. I started practicing criss cross now and I was told the rope is way too long. I'm not sure If I should cut it a little more since mine is not adjustable and there's no way back.
@mlhops17 жыл бұрын
That makes it very difficult not having an adjustable rope. The length of the rope depends on what style of jumping you are doing. For people doing general jumping for exercise, the rope should be roughly about 12" over your head while jumping. Look in a reflection as you are jumping or have a friend watch you to see what your clearance is. Thanks!

what about the length for a beginning jumper. for really no specific style such as crossfit nor speed jumping. just want to jump rope. I guess for cardio
@BuyJumpRopenet7 жыл бұрын
Hello Abel, For standard jumping you can have the rope travel about 16" - 24" over your head. Good question.

How about the sizing for the pvc chords?
@BuyjumpropesNetjump-experts8 жыл бұрын
+slicksouthpaw you can find our more in-depth sizing guide here: www.buyjumpropes.net/resources/jump-rope-length If you are using the PVC cord for Freestyle, you'll want to leave a little more room, but if you're using it for speed you can use the same basic method from the beginning of this video. The important thing is to start long and shorten in small increments as you experiment with finding your perfect length.

Hi, I had a jump rope question. I purchased a speed jump rope where you can adjust the size of your jump rope. but when I try to do one-arm swings the rope keeps wrapping around the handles? Is this common with adjustable jump ropes or a problem with my technique? Thank you.
@BuyjumpropesNetjump-experts6 жыл бұрын
Hey Rob, The problem with most speed jump ropes is that they don't work well with side swings. This is largely due to the fact that these ropes come out of the handle at a 90-degree angle. There are a few speed ropes that come out the end of the handle (like the Bullet Jump Rope), www.elitesrsfitness.com/products/bullet-rope. These will work much better for side wings. So, it probably is not you. Likey, its the style of jump rope.

Hi. I looked at the bullet jump rope and the elite surge 2.0 from the same company. Thanks for the recommendation. Before I decide, which would you recommend?
@BuyjumpropesNetjump-experts6 жыл бұрын
Hello! The Bullet Rope is the perfect combination of speed and the ability to do crossing moves. Also comes with some thicker cables that make crossing moves easier.

I dont have to cut my rope or?
@BuyjumpropesNetjump-experts5 жыл бұрын
Hello! The pvc cord or cable will need to be cut if after sizing, the cable/cord is protruding out too far. You would not want a cable sticking out that will cause you problems or harm. Make sure to use a good quality cable cutter to get a nice clean cut.
