You have a decent format, and its great that these tutorials are short and sweet. But don't be afraid to lower the music and briefly explain or dub the video over with some vocal feedback as to expand on what your tips are. I promise you will still have an audience without the constant music throught the vid.

Thanks for the advice, now I have plans to add voice tips and maybe not much will be in a different format, but everything is still short and clear)

@@SoulOfRollerSkates that's perfect man. Your content is already awesome. I think that folks (myself included) enjoy hearing the persons perspective on what they're doing at least a little bit, but maybe I could be wrong. Either way thank you for the great content.

Should bend your knees more, lower your center of gravity. And very importantly, adjust the alignment of your skate frames, especially the rear wheel, to the center of your heel
@lewis75154 ай бұрын
Yeah, that amount of outside edge to balance seems wildly excessive...
@Syn7412 жыл бұрын
i'm curious, why is the correct stance on the outside edge instead of the middle? (I'm new to skating)
@SoulOfRollerSkates2 жыл бұрын
On the outer side, because it is more stable to ride on roller skates and less likely to fall, since there is a small blockage on the outer side and it also helps with normal roller skating, we also focus on the outer side, because of this and I do a lot of emphasis on this, but again, it should not be big. You can do a light roll on the outside and keep it closer to the middle, but this comes with experience and training. There must be something in between, since we still keep the balance with this foot. There is truth in your question, thanks for the good question.

@@SoulOfRollerSkates so it's slightly off center? I can see how useful this could be by looking at how people do the double push
@SoulOfRollerSkates2 жыл бұрын
When we control roller skates in balance, then we have a transition from the outer edge to the inner ones, which is why the weight should go to the outer one, but it allowed us to go to the center and even to the inside, this is the double push skating technique, if I'm not mistaken, unlike skating
@wheelsonfire19822 жыл бұрын
Your edges always point away from your hip. When you're balancing on one foot you'll want the foot you're balancing on close / on your center of mass and since the center of mass is inside of your hips it'll automatically put you on a slight outside edge

For me as a visual learner you are on point 👍 however the music is way too distracting 😢either mute or lower the volume. You are promoting the skill not the music ....
