Perfect golf philosophy. I gave up watching instructional videos long ago. Instead I've stuck to the fundamentals of golf and a simple proper grip video that actually changed my iron shots for the good. Everything else is just in my head and that I work on during every round. Like Matt says, you have to get our of your own way.

I like where the caddie was challenged to a putt. I tried that in Thailand years ago on a 20 footer and my caddie was getting frustrated with me. I handed her my putter and said “show me”. She drained it. If I had any pride in my putting I would have been crushed, but it ended up being a great experience.

Good job B-Dog, you’re giving me hope. You are so lucky to have your good buddy The Baus Man himself helping you with things like your alignment. I played last week, played well for a couple holes then I found chunky monkey followed by a thin mint. While this was happening the “Tuba” started playing in my head, I started to laugh. My buddy said at least you’re still smiling, I replied “it’s the tuba” he didn’t know what I was talking about. After the round I tried to explain the tuba, then showed him. He laughed and said “ Well, that tuba followed you around for about 6 holes” 🤦🏻♂️ On a positive note, you now have another follower. Thanks again for the funny and educational videos.

Just what I need this series. I’m starting to shoot mid-low 80s and it’s inside 100 where I’m leaking shots - Not getting close enough on chips after missing GIR. Too many 3 putts. Looking forward to more B Dogg. Those iron strikes were sweet as a nut!

100% believe in the sensual towel. Had one of my group members keep trying to get in my cart because of the attraction to the towel. After going 11 over through 6, I went into zen mode and went 3 over for the next 12 holes for an 86 at a course my previous best was 97.

Love watching bdog play over the last few videos, i get excited for him when he re aligns and nails a great shot. Very inspirational, i hope i can take some of these tips and apply them to my own game, i am a beginner and have played under 10 games, seeing his improvement really makes me want to put the effort in to challenge myself to be more consistent. Bdog has come on so much, so impressed at how he has separated that right elbow from the body and freed his swing up, something I have been working on. Even more impressed with how he laughed at the lip out on 11, after a tough hole, I think we can all learn something from Bdog there 👌🏼 Keep it going!

I was just fitted for a driver. Curious to hear more about Bdog's fitted driver specs, since we appear to be similar in skill level/swing speed.
@cpall0563 жыл бұрын
The lie on some recent Cobra drivers is very upright which can cause big hooks depending on delivery. I'm guessing that's what Matt is referring to given the constant duck hooks seen in this video.
@keltoncrane75713 жыл бұрын
With fittings you can be with in similar skill levels and swing speed but delivery is the main factor. Swing path and delivery loft make huge difference between everyone’s swing. I believe that equipment and swing go hand and hand to help your game.
@GolfSidekick3 жыл бұрын
This driver was fitted with the view of him swinging some newfangled swing idea that the dude was trying to reinvent the wheel on. Dude was telling him he wants BDog all the way down to 7.5 degrees. I was like WTF the dude can't even hit a driver right now, and we're aiming for 7 degrees??? It's got a Stiff shaft in it i Dont know what brand though, whatever it is, it's scheisse for him. So I gave him a Ping G410 with regular shaft to get him to just relax and slow the F down because the shaft is too flexible for smashing. WORKED LIKE A BAUS....next 5 videos will show my genius

Have same problem same shot shape with my cobra driver. To hit a decent draw I have to tee it up very high and get a lot of forced side bend but I’ll hit it good doing this(at times) or go for a cut that has a mind of its own. Either prettiest straight baby fade you’ve ever seen or no way in heck that it should do this but will sometimes even trying to really cut it will go straight where I’m lined up and have a baby draw which is usually in the trees because I’m not lined up for the shape. It’s time for a new one myself I’m looking into ping g425 all woods. What did b dog end up going with? Looking for suggestions because we are very similar in our game

my problem was a snap hook... it used to be a great pushed draw.. i just adapted gripped it with an open club face... and now i play a fade that is almost dead straight... that would be my advice every time take it out and grip it a little more open until it starts going straight or fading barely that is what i did

Just curious: hole 12, no penalty stroke for water? Especially when trying to break scoring barriers (90 is something I'm getting close to breaking regularly), I try to adhere to the penalty stroke rule while sometimes I allow one mulligan on the first tee shot only. What do you think of mulligans/gimme putts/penalty strokes (lost ball for instance) when breaking scoring barriers? Or when claiming a new lowest score that was achieved during a round where penalty strokes weren't taken and/or mulligans were used. I'm pretty new to the game so I wanted to hear your take on it. edit: wow bdog is smashing those 4irons
@godsruins2 жыл бұрын
I noticed that too, you can see it splash and they cheer so either it bounced out of shallow water back onto the rough or they missed the penalty.
@creamabdul-jabbar67222 жыл бұрын
Is it possible to hit a draw with the ball below your feet or a fade when the ball is above? It feels unnatural to me when attempting and I have a bad contact almost every time. But sometimes it is called for it. I mean I can hit a punch shot but sometimes it’s not necessary if I can just hit the correct shape that would get me back where I want to go

I think the biggest thing that will always hold me back from breaking 80 is distance. I simply do not hit the ball far at all, and like Bdog, I also have a horrible relationship with my driver. I think its the same issue you are describing. I just never feel confident hitting it, and its super sporadic. I am going to take it out of my bag, but I can not hit iron in its place. I'm going to try a round without even taking the Driver with me, and only hit 3 wood off any long hole and see what happens. But as it stands now, on a 400+ yard par 4, if I do not hit a perfect driver, I have no hope of a GIR.
@GolfSidekick3 жыл бұрын
If you don’t have the distance, you should not be playing more than 2 par 4’s over 400 yards. You’re playing the wrong tees if the part fours are 400+. The distance is not holding you back. You have lessons at your disposal. You have shorter tees. Bdog was hitting every single iron 120 at one stage, couldnt hit a driver, didn’t have a back up iron off the tee. Now he is hitting single handicap shots. The biggest obstacle to it breaking 80, is you.

Your videos helped me start shooting 80 and below (used to shoot 95) but recently have been struggling to keep my mind cool when I have a bad hole... for example in my first highschool tournament this year I was a 4 over thru 9 then had a quad and couldn't keep my mind straight the rest of the round and shot a 88 example of many rounds I've had the past three weeks . Any advice guys???

That quad bogey is finished. Go play the next shot to hit it into a place to have another easy shot. Place less pressure on yourself. Golf is not perfect. Read EVERY SHOT MUST HAVE A PURPOSE and GOLF IS NOT A GAME OF PERFECT

Great to see Bdawg's improvement! Keep it up, playa. On the subject of alignment, do you think it might work to lay a club down on a parallel line to the target line, then put your feet on that line once you've picked up the club? Might get your grip wet but keep a towel in your pocket like the boomers do. If you play alone, this method could help.

I'm breaking 90 , sometimes breaking 85 , and occasionally breaking 80. I play off 9.6 WHS currently. I am 74 yrs old. Looking at BDog , he hits the ball way further than me. 6 iron 176yards?? I don't even have a 6 iron in the bag. For 176 yards I would take my 7wood! So , although interesting , this video does not really "speak" to me. I am interested in how to break 80 when I hit my 7 wood 130-140 yards. I don't have a 4 wood. Why does he not use a driver off the tee? Maybe it puts him in trouble? I would be using the driver , or at the very least, my 5 Hybrid 25 degree. So I would be interested to know why he doesn't use driver , and whether there could be a video with a golfer like Me!
