I hope this may help. I’ve found listening to rain sounds, soothing music or listening to a podcast helps me sleep. I call it giving my brain something to listen to; this stops me worrying about not being able to sleep. I now usually fall asleep with about 20 mins.

Thank you for this video! I've joined my partner and his daughter and they do not go to sleep until about 11 or 12 or 1am every night!!! I am a 9pm sleeper and this is so annoying and disruptive. And the most uncomfortably hard mattress ever. I am reconsidering my life choices and doing better for myself - putting me first.

That was me for at least a good year. I never figured out why or how to solve the issue, but it eventually stopped. Good luck getting through your day as this was exhausting for me to keep going every day. Going to bed at dinner time or taking a nap at lunch is just always possible.

Hi Sarah Maybe try a magnesium supplement with your evening meal, and try a small shot glass of warm water just before bed. Dehydration can often wake us up early! Best Wishes Eileen

I am in late perimenopause and I'm 52. I eat 8 wheat thins, a string cheese and half a cup of milk before i go to bed. Then i drink some warm water and use the restroom. I keep the temperature in our house at 65 degrees while we sleep and i have a fan on my side of the bed that i turn on low. I dont get the night sweats and the white noise the fan puts off lets me get a full night's sleep. Without my fan i sweat and get hot. My family also has noticed they sleep well with the temperature at 65 degrees also. The fan is a life saver. Also i use a quilt vs a comforter. Keeps me the right temperature that helps avoid night sweats and hot flashes.❤

I have found that shutting off my cell completely has helped. It seems my ear was always open and waiting for that late text or email and that's not good. Completely shut it off if possible! 😊

I'm 46 years old and have been dealing with insomnia for a few years. Aggravated, I believe, for perimenopause. I started taking A. Vogel Vitex, hope it will work with this issue.

Almost 51- and I’m running hot in the middle of the night. I haven’t slept more than 4-5 hours in a VERY long time. I can’t have the thermometer under 78 (it’s 95-100 degrees at 2am-super hot nights here in Arizona) The A/C and fans in my house because it sets off my allergies and horrible foot cramps. Plus my bill would be $1000 per month. I don’t complain about it. I just power through.

It's my bladder! I wake to pee 3 or 4 times a night. I even had my a1c checked to see if I was diabetic.
@AvogelCoUk
@AvogelCoUk 4 ай бұрын
Hi Getting up ma lot during the night can be caused by dehydration. Urine can become very concentrated and acidic and this will constantly irritate the bladder. Just make sure that you are drinking lots of plain water every day and have a small shot glass of warm water just before bed. Best Wishes Eileen

If I need to eat later than 7:00 I make sure it is no more than what I can fit in to a cup and a half. To measure is great. I can even eat crackers with sour cream, (just one thing I like) or popcorn. Anything really just nothing fatty or oily. I like to listen to the wind on my tablet or the rain while on a "trip in a train". I didn't think i was one of those people with a sound machine and never liked the fan. Still don't like the fan but use my tablet for noise.

Please can u tell me .I take dostinex for reducing prolactin. This is pitiutary gland problem..I am 47. Can it make perimenopause symptoms worse? ?
@AvogelCoUk
@AvogelCoUk 6 ай бұрын
Hi High oestrogen can increase prolactin so, if you are taking medication to reduce this and then, your own natural level of oestrogen falls, in theory, it could reduce oestrogen levels even further, maybe resulting in low oestrogen menopause symptoms. If you think you may be experiencing menopause symptoms, it may be an idea to speak to your doctor. Best Wishes Eileen

@@fiesta5840 unfortunately, we can't recommend any of our products as they may interfere with your medication, sorry, but I would suggest seeking the advice of a Medical Herbalist. They may be able to find out why this is happening and formulate a personalised treatment plan for you, also taking your medication into account. If you are in the UK, you can find local practitioners here www.NIMH.org.uk
