does the solid model need to be in mesh form? what is the benefit of having it in mesh?

man just click in body, export stl, open your slicer (I recommend prusaslicer) and open the stl fix it if need it and print it thats all, this videos really sucks explaining how to go from fusion to a slicer

What do you do if your Machine does not show up in Fusion I have a JGAURORA A5 printer?

You can use another machine that's close, then edit the machine's profile (bed size, etc). There's not a lot of machines as of now (Oct 2022) but I suspect people will being adding them and posting them for download, as well as AutoDesk adding more as time goes by.

Yes, it's on the Left where you move between Bodies and Components, etc (forget what they call it) but it's bottom left.

After you click calculate, pull the arrow up to complete the print, in the simulate box it will show total sec.

This is evolving software. This was posted over a year ago (for me, Oct 2022 currently), and they're evolving it with each update. This is obviously not a finished product and there will be major changes as they dial it in but the skeleton they created has some awesome bones ... ;-)
