I love the video. I will watch more times to learn the pronunciation 😊 snow is very beautiful to watch, first time I saw it (very little) in south Brazil when I was a kid but nothing compared to the snow I saw when i visited south Sweden. Tack so mycket 🤗

Pulka is called a 'snow sled' here in the USA :) "skiing with your butt" is a perfect definition! Slask we call 'slush', definitely the worst - especially when it suddenly freezes into ice! Jag älskar dina videor, tack så mycket!
@FunSwedish3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! 😍 Yes, exactly, Slask is Slush. We also have a word "Släde" which is technically "snow sled". So pulka is the small kid version :P It comes in different forms as well. The simplest one being the one that looks like a but 😅

I feel that I'll have to come back to this video many times to listen to the phrases over and over again 😅😅

There weren't the simplest sentences ever 😅 But, they are the ones that Swedes really use in everyday speech. So hopefully, they might ring the bell when someone says it 😁

As a Brazilian, I'd say, 'Titta! Det snöar! Let's have some fika and celebrate!' Perhaps it wouldn't be so Swedish, would it? 😄 Thanks for the video!
@FunSwedish3 жыл бұрын
We wouldnt go as far as celebrating. But it is definitely something to stop, look and watch still 😁

“Pulka is basically skiing with your butt” made me laugh out loud. Here in Canada that can be called tobogganing, sledding, or sliding, depending on where you live.

A fair word of warning though: never use "skit" and other borderline foul words without a near perfect Swedish pronounciation and grammar. As a foreigner, you will just come out as rough, unpolished and annoying, and you may find yourself alienating yourself from the Swedish people. Learn the "clean" words and use them to your advantage.
